Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where the day is a bank holiday. The celebration takes place on October 31, November 1 and November 2, in connection with the Christian triduum of Hallowmas: All Hallows' Eve, All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.[1][2] Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars called ofrendas honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. This image was taken in an attempt to experiment with the different ways in which random colours could be used to change the shapes of a face.

Shot last July, in a small hunting lodge we made our base. For this portrait I turned the garage wall into a studio backdrop—simple, raw, and quiet. Captured on my Leica M9 (DIY monochrome) and the classic Zeiss Biotar. Technical experiment meets a timeless look in black and white.

Another portrait of Dayna from the Creative Jam in Vipiteno (Italy), created for the WBF Camouflage competition. This time there are no lilac branches to hide in — just a soft urban backdrop and a calm, steady gaze.
Betty’s floral painting turns skin into a living canvas: roses and violets flowing across her shoulders, dusted with glitter, anchored by delicate gold-leaf details and tiny butterflies. It’s camouflage in a different way — not disappearing into nature, but carrying the garden through the city like a secret.
