I love doing makeup! I have taken about four photos of my weird but cool looking makeup. I did all of the zebra stripes on my eye free hand in liquid eyeliner. I also put down white eye shadow first so that it would look more realistic. I only wanted the picture to be of my eye so that that’s where 100% of the attention would be. I unfortunately didn’t have my Nikon with me when I took this picture, so I had to use my little Casio Exilim. That’s why the picture is so small. Once I decided that this picture was the best, I Photoshopped it. I used curves to make the whites whiter and the blacks blacker. I also changed the color of my eye from a blue green color to more of charcoal gray color. I am very pleased with how this picture turned out. Especially since I only took it on my Casio.

Alors, j'ai customiser hier soir Lya. Les custos pour elle qui était à venir était les paupières et lui percer les oreilles. Et donc hier soir je lui est refais les paupières. Elle avait juste un trait eye-liner sinon c'était nude.
Donc je les est refaite en rose pâle avec une légère couche de micro-paillette argenté qui change de couleur à la lumière.
C'est vraiment trop chou! J'adore!!! Donc évidemment ce n'est pas parfait mais c'était la première fois. Donc si je dois custo les paupières d'une prochaine doll, je serai mieux faire.

I'm interested in progressing further in portrait photography, but at the moment I'm just using friends (or in this case my girlfriend) who happen to be around while I have a camera with me. I think part of this is because I feel like specifically being with someone to take photographs of them puts pressure on both myself and the subject that I'm not comfortable managing.
Instead, just asking someone for a photograph, or sometimes not even that, helps me produce more genuine images of people at this early stage.
I hope to be able to manage the responsibility of the subjects pose, expression, etc. at some point, but for now I'll just worry about getting their bloody eyes in focus.
