Woot! I started 365. Chances are I will fail at the whole every day thing, but I'm gonna try my best. My camera needs to be taken out more often!
Make-up is funny. I decided to plaster a bunch on and then made fun of myself. See photo two.

Dolce & Gabbana presents an exclusive capsule collection dedicated to its most devoted fans. The new Holiday Collector’s Edition features just a couple of makeup essentials packed in luxurious gold-colored cases and inspired by Dolce & Gabbana’s haute couture creations.
It's been less than a week since our last performance. Let's see if I can remember the whole process.
1) Cover face in face wax (not pictured), to provide a good surface for the makeup to adhere to.
2) Conceal eyebrows using white mayu tsubushi wax (also not pictured), using a hair dryer to warm up and melt the wax, and the blunt end of the red brushes (pictured) to spread it. Then use fleshtone grease paint (top right) to blend now-whitened eyebrows in, to make them disappear.
3) Contouring! Use some red or pink along the inside of the browridge and along the sides of the nose to make these recede and the face seem flatter.
4) Foundation! Mix oshiroi liquid powder base in box with your name on it, and apply all over your face with small squarish brush (bottom left), patting and smoothing with large and small sponges. Make sure to get all those nasty corners around the eyes, etc.
5) Powder! Hooray, I get to powder my nose. Circular powder pad used to help seal the makeup so it won't come off with casual contact.
6) Habutime. Get your habutae on.
7) Using the two brushes (plus liquid eyeliner, which I found worked wonders), draw in features around the eyes, color in the lips, and draw in eyebrows.
8) Clean everything up and put away in your makeup box :)

I was commissioned by Benefit Cosmetics to create some patterns for an artist series of my makeup, Femme Metale, a precious metals eye makeup kit. This was released as a part of the Maggie & Annie Holiday Collection 2010. Originally I contributed hand lettering, but that was cut during production.
Also, for you ladies interested in the actual product, there's a great review of it here.
