With no visits to France due until at least October the bulk of my new Majorette buying will have to wait until then! Sainsbury's have been getting in a new assortment which looks extremely promising though bizarrely my nearest superstore keeps putting out old stock with tiny amounts of the new stuff dispersed in between.
I was able to grab this brand new recoloured Citroen DS 21, sorry but I refuse to call it merely a DS 21 regardless of the licensing stipulations! Its a Citroen and will always be a Citroen!
Quite possibly its best version so far, a deep and glossy black body colour with contrasting white roof and no graphics or logos in sight! Absolutely beautiful from every angle particularly now it rides on era appropriate chrome disc wheels and at just 3.00 is a relative bargain with its opening features, working suspension and clear lense headlights. That makes it cheaper than a Silver Series Hot Wheels!

Taken with the Lomo LC-W camera.
The LC-W (wide) has a 17mm lens, and can take half frame, square or full frame images depending on which of three film plane masks is installed.
Shot with "LomoChrome Turquoise" which is a novelty film from Lomography, in which the colour sensitive layers in the emulsion have been re-ordered to give wild colour shifts. Exposed at ISO200 and developed in the Fuji Hunt C41 kit.

Lots of Majorette stock are now hitting many ASDA stores all at once which is unusual for this most unreliable of supermarket chains. Nothing particularly new from what I can see apart from this rather rugged new MACK Granite based Tipper Truck.
Its a brand new casting which they intend on fully maximising with different body styles and trailers and quite the unusual choice for the normally rather Eurocentric Majorette.
A typical bonneted U.S. cab design which looks very dated to European eyes but well captured by Majorette who have even given it a fair smattering of chrome!

Leader of the band
Although I’ve never played in a marching band, I know that I’d be terrible at playing an instrument and marching at the same time. I can’t do either (well) on their own, let alone together! (Also, I’d have a hard time carrying a piano.)
I wasn’t the only one who thought this outfit reminiscent of a drum majorette. It got marching band comments all day.
