Taken with my phone. If you're around Mailbu check this place out and make sure you try the clam chowder!

What better place to teach your son the basics of surfing but on a nice private beach...I just couldn't resist getting this shot of the two of them..

Portrait in Malibu, CA

A view of the sunset over the Pacific Ocean seen from atop the cliff at the Malibu RV Resort along the Pacific Coast Highway

The surf near Mailbu, California: Photograph taken November 27, 2007

If you check out my previous upload from last night and compare it with this one, you'll notice they look quite different. This shot was taken about 30 minutes before the shot I posted yesterday--this one's from about five minutes before the sun set. There were little pockets of color in the sky, but this view looking WNW glowed intensely pink for just a couple of minutes. Once the sun was down, the light darkened a bit, and more clouds moved in. But this was just some serious PINK--for this shot I used no filters (and none in post, not even a grad filter), no saturation, no burning or dodging, and no adjustments in color. It was so freakily pink that I thought this one worked well on its own with just some minor sharpening and spot removal. CRAZY, I tells ya!

Malibu Misaki trying on some new clothes. She looks good in gold.

I wish the henna tattoo arms were in this skintone, that way Misaki could sport them.

...Actually...it was above my knees....It is amazing....just a few hundred miles south, and the water is warm enough to go in without having instant frozen tootsies. I won't go this far in the water up here...no way!!

I got these girls today at a flea market for $1 each. They have improved with a scrub. I also washed the inside of most of their heads and bodies.

I rinsed all of them with diluted bleach cleaner after they were washed/scrubbed with dish soap and soft scrub and a toothbrush (not on face paint). They were all stored in bins and stink a bit. I'll put them in the sun for a few days. None of them will be stored with my regular doll collection until I make sure they do not stink.

I used human conditioner and a flea comb to detangle their hair. Some of their bodies are drying upside down and the heads are on straws. I cut plastic sleeves from quart freezer Ziploc bags to use as hair trainers. I used dental elastics for Scooter and the Takara Jenny. Pepper really improved a ton. Her face paint is good. Only Skipper and Scooter could use some lip touch ups. Mailbu's make up is really nice. She feels like a vintage girl (not a repro).

STTC NS5024 a Bedford VAS with a special 16 seater SMT body at Lairg Station on 9 July 1971.

The bus has just reversed across the rail tracks to pick up the mail and parcels just left by the train from Inverness. The connecting passengers for the short journey into Lairg have not yet reached the bus, as they have had a less convenient walk via the footbridge.

Los Angeles Times - November 3, 1993

While on location shooting for Manhattan Cruiser Bicycles I knew right away that this would be a special day. The sky was amazing, the tide was low with the ocean water only occasionally coming in, each time leaving a thin layer on the sand. The mirror like shore was the perfect picture, Shot with my Nikon D7000 and my trusty Tokina 11-16mm lens with just a touch of Photomatix HDR to even out the exposure, One of the greatest moments Mother Nature has ever rewarded me as a professional photographer. Location; Zuma Beach, Malibu California

On residential beach house recycling in Mailbu

Sutherland Transport and Trading Company mailbuses loading outside Lairg Post Office on 19 June 1970 for their daily journeys covering the whole of north west Sutherland.

NS5451 a Bedford VAS with a special 16 seater SMT body with large mail compartment is heading for Scourie. Commer minibus ANS282C is already loaded up with mail, parcels and a crate of milk for Tongue, whilst more sacks are dragged towards Bedford J4LZ1 NS4745 on the Kinlochbervie route. Out of sight at the side of the Post Office two further STTC mailbuses are also loading for the Durness and Lochinver runs.

Left to Right: Malibu PJ, PJ, Malibu Francie. Just finished these ladies for a client. My favorite is the Malibu PJ. I think they are so cute. The huge part lines do take a long time though, if you have one off section of part the whole thing will be messed up.

Although it appears to be the ultimate bus/rail interchange the bus was only reversed across the tracks for the convenience of transhipping the mail. The passengers that had alighted from the northbound train on the far platform had all safely crossed the tracks by the footbridge to board the bus.

The next train was due in about 7 hours.

Mural from Feb. 2015 at The Big Heart Ranch painted during a Residency with Acadia Malibu.

Acadia is a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation and Wellness Healing center based in Mailbu CA.

Thanks to Jayme Carpenter, Suzi Landolphi, Evan Haines, Jared Valentine and all of the other staff an clients who helped create this beautiful experience.

From Their Website: "Here at Acadia, we are also united by a common shared experience of disconnection and dislocation. We are a defiant people, and we strive for freedom from a painful, troubled past. We also find healing through the power of food, music, and family. We share meals and break bread together – we are sustained by the nourishment for the mind, body, and soul that this bond gives us. We enjoy music and the arts together – we tap into our passion, joy, and laughter, and the source of all creativity. And we find belonging with our new Acadian family – our community teaches all of us a new definition of family, one based on principles, not blood. This is a place of refuge, a safe haven from the storms and sometimes rocky nature of life, where we are able to find our footing and have a new experience of health and wellness."

Sutherland Transport and Trading Company mailbuses at Lairg Station on 9 July 1971. Bedford VAS with a special 16 seater SMT body NS5024 is stradling the railway tracks with its passengers awaiting the loading of mail and parcels for the short trip to Lairg Post Office. Similar mailbus NS5452 is waiting to act as duplicate for the extra parcels, for distribution to the other connecting mailbuses in Lairg.

Although it appears to be the ultimate bus/rail interchange the bus was only reversed across the tracks for the convenience of transhipping the mail. The passengers that had alighted from the northbound train on the far platform had all safely crossed the tracks by the footbridge to board the bus.

The signalman walking down the middle of the tracks was simply returning to his signalbox, and not on any mission to flag down the next train that was due in 7 hours time.

Sutherland Transport and Trading Company NS4745 a Bedford J4LZ1 with Duple Midland B16F body on the Lairg to Kinlochbervie mailbus service on 19 June 1970. In the typical rocky landscape of north west Sutherland, that is dominated by Foinaven mountain complex, the bus is passing Badcall alongside Loch Inchard sea loch, near the end of its three hour journey to the west coast.

Superman wanted to see how he sized up to the "girls" LOL

Seriously though...since I have so many different dolls around here lately (thanks to the 6 dollar bag o'dolls and stuff I got) I thought I would do a size comparision picture or rather a few of them.... :)
