Yeah, that's one hot pink, uncomfortably short, velvet dress.
'Magic Curl' Sindy was sold with these pink shoes, white heart earrings, a comb/curl thingy and the eye watering pink dress already mentioned.
I'm not sure where the "magic" comes in. One can, with some effort, use the fork on the comb and twist her hair, but it doesn't stay curled unless water is added. (I didn't use it.)
Nevertheless in spite of all that, I find her very cute and I'm glad I gave in and bought her. Perhaps that's what's magical?
Magic 90s! 'Magic Curl Sindy' was given some crazy outfits named 'Magic Style'.
I can't deny the magic this outfit posses. My head started to spin after I looked at it for too long, expecting rabbits to jump out. They didn't..
It included the dress, white tights, greeeeeen heels and a peculiar hairclip one of the designers 3-year-old must have made.

My minty vintage "Quick Curl" Barbie shows off some of her "Antiques" (actually some of my latest thrift store finds - yes, I've been very lucky thrifting lately!)
She's wearing a vintage 1981 "Magic Curl" Barbie dress. The wood "credenza" is actually a 1970's vintage jewelry box. The pretty miniature porcelain vases were all in in a baggie marked $1. The miniature candelabras were $2 for the set, and the miniature clock actually works, and was only $1. Good luck indeed :)

Ho trovato questa Barbie in un lotto preso su ebay a gennaio 2021.
Da piccola non l'avevo ma mi ci sono affezionata ed è rimasta nella mia collezione.
Era nuda con solo il laccetto giallo tra i capelli, ma io avevo il suo vestito (trovato in un altro lotto).
L'anello l'ho preso su ebay, mentre il salviettone giallo l'ho trovato in un mercatino.
Mancano scarpe originali e accessori beauty.

Barbie Magic Curl 1981, Made in Taiwan
This Barbie was in a lot I bought on ebay in January 2021.
I did not have her when I was a child but I grew fond of her, so she is still in my collection.
She was naked with only the yellow string in her hair, but I had her dress (found in another lot).
I bought her ring on ebay, and in a flea market I luckly found her yellow towel.
I still have to find original shoes and beauty accessories.
Magic Curls Doll from 1982.
She came with the Magic Mist, it is a powder to mix with water and when you wash her hair with the mixture the hair turns straight, then if washed only with water the hair turns curly again. Tons of fun when you are little (when your mum allows you to play with water)

One of my favourite early Superstar Barbies, charming Magic Curl. I practically always buy Barbies nude and used - so make them outfits myself. In original - she is dressed in yellow, and I thought - flowerprint skirt and knitted top will suit her just fine. But yellow is of course the main color of her out :)
