We were watching sunset on the rim of Crater Lake National Park and got to chatting with a few guys including Marco, a guy from France, who, turns out, has some pretty sweet one-handed, guitar-holding hand stand skills. I can only imagine what type of pain I would end up in if I were to try this maneuver.

Actually, I have my new 3D printer running reliably, and printing a _whole case_ is no longer the trial it used to be, and I'm able to do some experimentation!
Operation Cake of Intrigue and Mystery:
Ms Hanmore and myself were planning on collaborating with the assistance of Mr Frewin, and making a 'secret cake' for the weekend.
However, for reasons unknown, the collaboration has turned into a Fight, otherwise known as a Cake-Off.
Baking takes place tonight - 1 cake created and baked in Bristol, sporting all the traits of a cake made in the West. The other, dragged up from the dirty streets of London.
Ms Hanmore has threatened that she will be aided by her ex-chef housemate and that the tin she bought is big enough for an actual house, rather than a cake that looks like a house.
I have taken a different approach, and will be using high quality ingredients, actual skill and some eye-catching finishing touches. I have also bagsy-ed chocolate. I have a good friend to thank for the recipe and assistance. My team mate and I will work through the night to achieve perfection if needed.
We have appointed an official adjudicator to lead the judging at the weekend. He is currently laying down the criteria which will make up the scoring sheets.

It's finally July! So today, I played volleyball with my wonderful cousins. This girl right here, her name is Madicille. She might look funny, which is normal, but she's one of the best volleyball players I know who can kick anyone's ass. I call her 'Madskills' because she literally has Maaaaadskills when in comes to volleyball! She's the best. I love her to death, not to mention my other favorite, Celibell. It's so wonderful spending time with them, knowing that they're leaving for the Philippines in August. It has been 7 years since we've met each other, and those past years have been so awesome, because we've became closer every time we hung out. I'm hoping Madicille will come back next year diving for possibly more volleyball scholarships... Crazy huh?

Yes, clearly Mr Dude needs to show off his talents because he's not looking his beautiful best at the moment all thanks to a little molting.
Hopefully he'll be good as new shortly and his balancing act will be all the more impressive.
I was surprised by how unafraid this young quail was to see me and the 80 lb chocolate lab who was pulling on the leash for all she was worth, and also that i was able to keep Mocha from gaining any ground while taking this picture!
