For the first time we traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to see the State Capital. I took this photograph from a distance and noticed through the image how big this architecture was. Many gathered on the streets singing religious music while others walked by with masks or drove by. Madison was an interesting place to visit for one day.

View of the Madison River in Yellowstone taken from a bridge across the river.
The Madison River is a headwater tributary of the Missouri River, approximately 183 miles (295 km) long, in Wyoming and Montana. Its confluence with the Jefferson and Gallatin rivers near Three Forks, Montana forms the Missouri River.
The Madison rises in Teton County in northwestern Wyoming at the confluence of the Firehole and Gibbon rivers, a location known as Madison Junction in Yellowstone National Park. It flows west then north through the mountains of southwestern Montana to join the Jefferson and Gallatin rivers at Three Forks.
The Missouri River Headwaters State Park is located on the Madison at Three Forks. In its upper reaches in Gallatin County, Montana, the Hebgen Dam forms Hebgen Lake. In its middle reaches in Madison County, Montana, the Madison Dam forms Ennis Lake and provides hydroelectric power. Downstream from Ennis, the Madison flows through Bear Trap Canyon, known for its class IV-V whitewater.
The river was named in July 1805 by Meriwether Lewis at Three Forks. The central fork of the three, it was named for U.S. Secretary of State James Madison, who would succeed Thomas Jefferson as President in 1809. The western fork, the largest, was named for President Jefferson and the east fork for Treasury Secretary Albert Gallatin.

UP YBE51 starts up the KD Line with three mill gondolas for Cimco in Loves Park as it navigates the street-running portion of Madison Street in Rockford, one of the very last holdouts of street-running left in northern Illinois, if not, the state.
UP YBE51 rolls down Madison Street with one tank car for Rock Valley Chemicals in Loves Park bracketed by a pair of GP15-1s. The train will return to Belvidere light power.

A scene just a few miles from my home on a dreary day that saw some rain showers and even sleet, but we still had a fantastic day out and about!

Savannah Georgia
The square was designed in 1837, laid out in 1839 named after the fourth president of the United States. Beautiful examples of Greek revival, Gothic, and Romanesque architecture surround it.
The monument of Jasper, an American soldier in the Revolutionary War, stands tall to honor the sergeant who was mortally wounded during the Siege of Savannah on October 9, 1779, just northwest of the marker.
It was designed by Alexander Doyle, a distinguished sculptor in New York, who depicted Jasper holding his bullet wound with his right hand.
Putting emphasis on the main subject is my primary objective in processing photos. I want the viewer to look at my image and know without a doubt what the subject is. I avoid having two subjects as it makes for confusion of what the image is about. I realize that this image is somewhat busy in that the subject doesn't really pop out. The dark colored statue makes it difficult. As a rule I want the subject to be the lightest item because the viewers eyes will naturally gravitate to the lightest part of the image. The bright pedestal helps bring the viewer in which compensates for the darkness of the main subject.
