C9.25 with Antares 6.3 focal reducer,QHY 168C and UHC filter was used to collect 10 subs at 60 seconds each. Stacked in Deepskystacker and processed in Nebulosity 4 and Photoshop CS2. Darks and flats subtracted and image cropped.

M13 Globular cluster in Hercules. Vixen 10” VMC-260 telescope, QSI583 CCD camera with Lodestar autoguider, Astrodon E Series LRGB filters, Paramount ME. Luminance 90m, R30m, G30m, B30m .
This is a shot of the globular cluster Messier 13, in Hercules. Taken over two nights in the backyard for testing prior to GSSP 2014.
Was challenged to fix some problems with camera and mount prior to the star party. The mount part was easy - I re routed some cables so that they didn't snag. The camera part was not easy. During waiting fo rthe skies to clear, I ran the camera to capture a series of dark frames. Unfortunately, during these sequences a piece of flocking paper fell down into the camera body and blocked the movement of the shutter. The shutter electronics a dead and now it will not open. I've had to hot glue the shutter open and now rely on the motion of the mirror plus the electronics of the CCD to time the exposures. Biggest follow up to the shutter issue has been taking flats. Because short duration flats allow over exposure as the mirror flaps up and down, long duration flats are better. I'm now recording flats with a duration of .7 seconds vs 1/60 second. I may consider building a strobe box to further experiment.
This image is a sum of 18 exposures at 1200 seconds each at 100 ISO.

Processed in PixInsight 1.8 with Crop, DBE, Masked Stretch, Histogram Stretch to reset black point, TGVDenoise, masked curves to boost saturation and reduce muddy sky glow, and unsharp mask on bright stars to tighten.

A l'arrière-plan le LST-134 embarque les véhicules depuis Portland, prévu pour Easy Red transporte les unités attachées au HQ Division, de la 1st ID.
Présent au sein de La Task Force 124.5 (Assault Groupe 0-3) Elle devait débarquer les unités du 18th RCT sur les plages de Fox Green et d'Easy Red (secteur Est d'Omaha Beach) le 6 juin 1944.
Ce LST fait partie du Groupe 30 de la LST Flotilla 12

C'est un trailer director M14 ou M22, la M14 est construite par Fruehauf ou Brill, et la M22 uniquement par Standard (la grosse différence c'est que le plancher est ici en bois au lieu de métal sur la M14

Remorque pour les " calculateurs " de tirs pour les unités de défense antiaérienne combinée avec un radar SCR-584. Le Director M9 pour les unités équipés du 90mm AA et le director M10 pour ceux avec le 120mm M1 AA.
Chaque unité de calcul comprend un tracteur 4T K32, une remorque K78 (SCR 584), un 2.5t truck et une remorque M14, M22 ou M13 (idem mais bâchée au lieu d'être tôlée)

This is a reprocess of data from last year I had forgotten about using the modded Canon T1i with total exposure of just over 4 hours.
I really miss shooting & the simplicity of processing with a DSLR + the 500D has very low noise. I hope to be testing soon a cooled modded Canon courtesy of my friend Brent Oliver of HyperCams & Mods.
Not as good a result as my image shot with the CCD but In the next image I post you will see what happened when I combined the data from both cameras.

AMMASSO GLOBULARE M13
Nella costellazione di Ercole regna l'ammasso globulare piu' maestoso del nostro emisfero.
M13 fu scoperto da Edmond Halley nel 1714 e catalogato da Charles Messier il 1 ° giugno 1764 nella sua lista di oggetti da non confondere con le comete ; L'elenco di Messier, incluso Messier 13, alla fine divenne noto come il Catalogo di Messier
M13 ha una magnitudine apparente di 5,8. Il suo diametro angolare è di 23', mentre il suo diametro reale è di circa 165 anni luce.
contiene diverse centinaia di migliaia di stelle, la più brillante delle quali è di magnitudine 11.95. Nel 1974 fu fatto un tentativo simbolico di inviare un messaggio verso altri mondi. Per celebrare un consistente ampliamento del radiotelescopio da 305 metri di Arecibo, un messaggio in codice di 1.679 bit fu trasmesso verso M13.
