An impressive LEGO display at Cantigny. A wide variety of themes including the second world war, contemporary urban, and classic television and movies.

My first attempt to image M13, globular cluster in the constellation Hercules.

Cantigny Park in Wheaton commemorated the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings with vehicles, reenactors and a series of engaging activities so that young people could learn the history in engaging ways. As a special treat, there were veterans of the beach landings who were there to share their experiences and answer questions.

The globular cluster, M13, photographed with a Canon 1000D dslr and an Orion SkyGlow filter attached to a 90mm, f6.7 APO refractor. Thirty 240-sec images were stacked and processed in Nebulosity. The telescope was guided using PHD with a Meade DSI pro and a 102mm, f10 SCT guide scope. Final processing and cropping were done in PhotoShop 7.
