A single 5m sub of one of my favorite DSOs, again from March 3/4 when I was trying out the Canon/EdgeHD combination for the first time.

Globular clusters are present in the halo that surrounds many galaxies and are essentially satellites of the parent galaxy. They are mostly composed of very old stars with low metallicity, classed as early generation (Population II) stars. M13 is one of the brightest globulars in our sky.

Finally getting around to uploading a few from C2E2, at Chicago's McCormick Place.

A reenactor shows off the only piece of waterproof gear issued to the soldiers in the landing craft.

Cantigny Park in Wheaton commemorated the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings with vehicles, reenactors and a series of engaging activities so that young people could learn the history in engaging ways. As a special treat, there were veterans of the beach landings who were there to share their experiences and answer questions.

Great Hercules Cluster
