After a long absence from photography and flickr I'm delighted to re-enter the flickr community. It's been a crazy 12 months, I quit my job, moved countries just to mention a few. A BIG APOLOGY to my regular commenters who I have been unresponsive, I genuinley enjoyed your all interactions. This photo is Stramberk, Czech Republic. The flagship of the Grand Marais Harbor, Hjørdis shares the name of the mythical Norse goddess of war. We took a trip on this 50’ traditionally-rigged steel schooner.
My first chance to get out after a long spell of horrid weather, resulted in me seeing these spinebills using a pool of water in a rock hollow to drink in and bathe.
Mister M is a shipowner from my town and a charismatic personality. Yesterday I finished his portrait, pencil and watercolor, 21/29 cm.
Thijs goes to the forest when I'm taking pictures of mushrooms, but it's not easy yet, he's still young 10 months but he likes the bike so he's enjoying it

Minimalismus
Das diesjährige Jahresthema der Werkstätte Fotografie Mannheim. Der Vorschlag setzte sich gegen "Licht und Schatten" und "Fotografie inspiriert durch einen großen Maler" durch.
Es ist schwierig das Thema ab- und einzugrenzen ... ich zeige meine Versuche bis zum Ende des Jahres.
Ich will in SW fotografieren und quadratisch.
I met this seven month, long haired dachshund and his owner battling against the wind at Mudeford yesterday. We stopped to chat and when I asked the dog's name he told me it was Sparticus, to which I had to reply " No, I'm Sparticus" (just couldn't help myself).
It was so windy it was difficult to hold the camera still, coupled with the fact that the dog was constantly moving, hence there's not a lot in focus - lol. However, I loved the dog and delighted in his wonderful name
