This Lehigh Valley caboose is part of an early 1976 Conrail freight working on a branch line near Harrisburg, PA on former Reading RR trackage.
Actually, it is a model train on my garden railroad and I just finished weathering the caboose so I wanted to get it outside for some photos.

Since I started this week catching the LV heritage unit, I feel like some more Lehigh Valley for this weeks SNS. A trio of big C-628's are on the D&H at Glenville, NY on March 29, 1975. No photographer listed on the slide mount.

Black and white re-edit of a shot from November 2016 in a rare occurrence where I posted the colour image first. Love the emergence into the low autumn sunlight here. Enjoy!
W10 with the Lehigh Valley heritage unit leading crawls through CP LINDEN after cresting the grade of Attica Hill on September 24, 2018 at Linden, NY. The train had a difficult time getting to anything more than 30mph, even with a DPU unit. Not a surprise considering that it was reportedly 22,000 tons. The slower speed allowed for many more photo opportunities than would have been possible if it had made track speed of 50mph.
