My beautiful and oldest Tibetan Mastiff, Doris is almost 14. A few days ago she was treated for fluid on her lungs. Unfortunately time is not on our side and we don't know how long we will have with her. We are on borrowed time with this grand old lady.
I don't think, after losing Dodger last year that anything prepares you for losing a much loved family member.
Bei einer morgendlichen Fototour im Buchenwald entdeckte ich eine umgestürzte Buche, an der mehrere kleine Pilzgruppen anhafteten, die sich bei näherem Hinsehen als Lungen Seitlinge herausstellten. Dieser Pilz zeigt sich vorzugsweise im Sommer und zum Glück auch in einem sehr trockenen Sommer, wie dem Diesjährigen. Um das Buchenwaldambiente zumindest ansatzweise ins Bild zu integrieren nutzte ich ein Makroobjektiv mit relativ kurzer Brennweite.

La spiaggia, situata nella penisola del Sinis, è nota per i suoi bellissimi granellini di sabbia che costituiscono il suo arenile, purtoppo spesso portati via da persone in cerca di souvenir. Per accedervi è necessario imboccare una strada asfaltata, lungo la strada provinciale 7, ad un km circa a nord della frazione di Cabras di San Salvatore di Sinis, seguendo le indicazioni per la spiaggia di Is Arutas.

Lunga esposizione sul lungo mare di Varazze, aspettando il sole e la luce, che non si sono fatti vedere....
Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space.
In Oldenburg/ Holstein findet sich diese interessante Industriekulisse. "Pidder Lüng" beschleunigt langsam seinen IC 2413 aus dem Bahnhof hinaus. Danach galt es, Gummi zu geben, damit man die Fuhre bis Scharbeutz wieder einholt...;-)
It's actually not as bad as it looks... These aren't biting bugs, but if you breathed too quickly, you might get a lung full...
