Na een voorspoedige rit werd keurig op tijd het perronnetje bij het SSN Stoomdepot bereikt. Nadat de 189289 naar binnen was gerold en de genodigden waren uitgestapt kwam de fraaie 6703 van RXP opgereden om de trein weer terug onder de draad te duwen. De genodigden werden bij de SSN van een overheerlijk lunchbuffet voorzien en konden wat foto's gemaakt worden. De opname toont de trein op 4 januari 2025 bij de SSN te Rotterdam.
I am super clumsy so I have accidentally "eaten wall" a few times, and I'm all the time saying the wrong thing in all kinds of situations so I reach out my arms in sympathy, empathy, compassion, and pity towards poor old Great Wall and I hope that they'll be able to fix whatever went wrong with the lights real soon.

The bathroom at Udupi Cafe, where we stuffed ourselves on the all-vegetarian buffet lunch. I waited outside this door, while the little man was inside, using the facilities. Of, yes, the women's room.

Today the husband and I were able to partake of Everest's excellent lunch buffet. It was strange to have a quiet meal in a restaurant without the little man around to wreak havoc.

Anstelle des mittelalterlichen Stadtgefüges wurde durch die Savoyer ab dem 17. Jh. in einer beispiellosen Bautätigkeit eine am Reißbrett geplante Barockstadt als Gesamtkunstwerk aus dem Boden gestampft mit einem rechtwinkligem Straßenraster, ausgehend von dem Schloss der Savoyer an der Piazza Castello. In diesem eleganten Ensemble kann man selbst bei schlechtem Wetter unter 18 km Arkadengängen angenehm flanieren, zumal viele Straßen im Zentrum und vor allem die schönen Plätze seit einigen Jahren autofrei oder zumindest verkehrsberuhigt sind.

All passengers visiting Royal Caribbean's private island of Coco Cay (a.k.a. Little Stirrup Cay) can enjoy a buffet lunch at one of the island's grills; however, those who reserve a cabana at the Island Oasis Cabana Club are treated to an ''upgraded'' lunch buffet. I'm not sure what was on offer at the standard buffets, but I took several photos of the lovely spread we enjoyed as cabana guests. The buffet featured a number of hot dishes; the chafing trays shown here contained Caribbean corn, macaroni and cheese, barbecue pork ribs, Caribbean jerk chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, and -- for dessert -- bread pudding.
Op donderdag 2 april 2015 was een paasviering voor alle studenten van de opleidingen ICT, CIBAP, Marketing Communicatie & Evenementen, Techniek en Bouw. En ook voor alle ROC Friese Poort personeel werkzaam op de Anne Wadmanwei. Onder het genot van een bakje koffie of thee met paasbrood volgde de opening door Berend Wijbenga. Hierna gingen de studenten in drie groepen naar buiten om actief de wind te trotseren. Dit in de vorm van een rondgang om de oude vuilnisbelt, en een aantal sportieve activiteiten.
Nadat iedereen goed uitgewaaid was stond de paaswijding in de Innovatiewerkplaats op het programma.
Gerlof Wiersma, teamleider Royal Mission Noord sprak iedereen toe. Hij liet een inspirerende film zien over : Want to know more about how to know God? Graffiti Bridge to Life
Gerlof introduceerde Jeremy Deug, rapper en jeugdwerker. Hij rapte een gesprek met de Vader in de hemel. De tekst was te volgen via een groot TV scherm.
Bij het verlaten van de innovatiewerkplaats konden de studenten hun deelname kaart van de activiteiten in een bak naar keuze doen voor een goed doel. De meeste kaarten kwamen in de bak voor ALS.

Ondertussen was in het Atrium een uitgebreid lunchbuffet, met warme broodjes en vers fruit, door de catering verzorgd. Iedereen liet zich dit goed smaken. Complimenten aan de catering.

Een bijzondere morgen! 350 studenten a/d ROC Friese Poort mogen prikkelen met meest bijzondere boodschap die er is.

The Vegetarian now has a lunch buffet. Unfortunately I can't recommend it much. It's heavy on the grease and too light on the tasty (though I do like these orange thingies).

From the window of the hotel restaurant the high water of spring rains filling the Grand River can be seen the billboard at the opposite end of the Ann Street bridge. It advertises the dance and musical entertainment of ShenYun from China. Since the lunch buffet on weekdays is a variety of standard Indian dishes, these two sides of the river represent two of the major population centers of the world, South Asia and East Asia. Meanwhile, a few 100 yards to the right of the edge of the picture there is an empty furniture factory building from the time when Grand Rapids was "Furniture City," staffed with many 1st and 2nd generation immigrants to West Michigan.
So this photo records a kind of intersection of peoples and languages that mirrors the movement of culture, capital, and concepts, (and Covid, too) from around the planet. Back in 1995 Arjun Appadurai summed up this phenomenon in his article about "global flows."
