My old Chevy truck has twenty-four of these. HMM! Thanks to anyone stopping by to look, like and maybe leave a comment

Two scrapyard goblins who are always ready to start some mischief!

Taking LugNut for a ride in my kayak.

This new build is for the “Color Me Strange” build challenge over at LUGNuts and is simply called Passion. It’s the only vehicle cool enough to have a Lego replica of me posing next to it. It’s bad enough that I made this super cool ’56 Chevy Pickup in rare purple…but I also had to go and make it a real jumpin’ lowrider! Three electrical motors work by remote control and make it jump frontways, sideways and drive back and forth. With Brickcon08 just around the corner did ya think I was going to let my friends and competition off easy? Speaking of Brickcon, you can see this creation and thousands of other fantastic works in person at Seattle Center Exhibition Hall October 4th and 5th from 11am-3pm. A great time is always guaranteed. Be there or be square!

Macro Mondays: "Pair"

Two lug nuts on my 1998 Ford Ranger pickup. Yes, the truck hasn't been washed in.... well quite some time.

I present to you, my slightly modified '74 Chevy El Camino SS.

Dubbed 'El Laxante', for the uncanny effect of making the faint-hearted drop a deuce at the mere sight of it! ;)

This is my entry into the LUGNuts 100th Build Challenge!!

Participants were asked to pick a number from 1-100.

Each number corresponded to a mystery vehicle.

I picked # 74 and was given the following instructions:

"Any year Chevy El Camino or Ford Ranchero"

Lucky for me, 'stock' or 'custom' wasn't specified, so I had the freedom to give the old rig a few minor mods! ;)

Some of you suspected that I had a second, even bigger entry for the “Year In Review” LUGNuts challenge in the works. What, a guy can’t submit a small hot rod and call it done? Well, it seems your gut instincts were right…introducing Sgt. Ballbreaker, my fighter war plane inspired rat rod! Just like real fighting aces, it features a snarling grin, American aircraft insignias, headers that resemble torpedoes and the roof opens like a real fighter plane canopy! And check out that rough and tumble camouflage “paintjob”! I’m pretty happy with this one and I’m guessing you’ll be too...otherwise Sgt. Ballbreaker will have to ask not too kindly…“What’s your major malfunction, maggots?! Now drop and give me twenty!! Twenty comments, that is!”

LugNut speaking with his eyes.

In the off season, I think Santa is a biker. I mean think about it…thumb through any biker mag and what do you see? Forget the obvious bikes, avert your eyes away from the biker chicks flashing their boobs and the drunken beer swilling and what do you have left? That’s right…shirtless fat guys with huge beards! My 3rd entry into the LUGNuts “All But Four”

build challenge is what I’d imagine Santa’s bike to be…an old-timey 1930’s era Christmas themed bobber with a panhead motor and a sidecar full of toys! He has Mrs. Claus there to help him. She’s…um…a little younger than the Mrs. Claus of traditional folklore. Something about a second marriage and a mail order from Russia…I don’t know, I don’t ask questions. Anyway, check out that rack…of antlers behind the front tire and the headlight is red like Rudolph’s nose. I want to wish you all the very happiest of holidays no matter what winter festivities you celebrate…and if you need proof that great minds think alike, check out Nathan (Proudlove)’s newest entry. It’s a little uncanny and not the first time we’ve shared the same ethereal brain. Happy Holidays everyone!

My entry for the LUGNuts "Fire and Ice" challenge. A rescue truck used predominantly in the winter for ice rescue missions, but the tracks can be replace with wheels to become the station's swift water rescue. Now the question is whether or not to make a base for it...

Photo Specific:

Equipment out, crew on a mission. Sorry for the horrific blurriness.

The rear end resembles that of the Chrysler Crossfire. Chrysler have a history of producing very nice concept cars that ultimately end up going into production with only few external changes. The rear hatch on the Airflite, however, was unlikely to ever be fitted to a production car.

Proving that great minds think alike, (Right, Nathan!) I have come up with the original Dodge Deora for the What A Concept build challenge over at LUGNuts. Designed for Hot Wheels in 1964 by Harry Bentley Bradley and the Alexamder Bros., a real one was made by chopping a Dodge A-100 van and adding parts from a 1960 Ford sedan and a 1960 Ford wagon to make the iconic roofline. The strange concept surf truck needed a cool name so a contest was proposed and results were to be announced in the February 1966 issue of "Car Model". Thirteen-year-old David Hagedorn's entry topped all the others. It was short and suitably exotic: DEORA. David explained that it meant "golden" in Spanish (which is slightly incorrect; "de oro" is Spanish for "of gold"). Since Bradley's original plan called for finishing the project in gold, the name was perfect! Young David was rewarded with the first AMT Deora model kit! In 1968, the Deora became within the first 16 cars to be cast for Hot Wheels…and the rest is history!

Stylish and sophisticated, the aluminium chassis, V12 Aston Martin DB9 is one of the most beautiful vehicles of the 21st century.

Preliminary vehicle of the Aston VH achitecture, the DB9 has subsequently been upgraded with the technical improvements from the Vantage, DBS, and DB9 Volante.

It'll be a while until I get all the renders done and I don't want to keep the LUGnuts guys waiting so I'll give you a render now. Write up and other pictures will follow shortly-ish!
