I came across this tiny cutie today after seeing BC's first Wood Thrush and he made my day!! It's amazing how much they blend into their surroundings!

Dati Tecnici
a) Leica R9 + DMR + Leica Summilux-R 80 mm f/1.4;
b) Tempo 125s apertura a f.5,6 (a mano libera) + 2/3 di diaframma;
c) Lettura Esposimetrica con Gossen Lunalite (Effettuate cinque letture a Luce Incidente sui due lati estremi opposti della scena, una quasi centrale in corrispondenza del viso e del bouquet della ragazza e due sul fondo “sulle zone chiare e scure”), il risultato è stato confrontato con la lettura dell’esposimetro della macchina. I parametri ottenuti dal confronto delle due misurazioni sono stati sommati e il ricavato t/d è stato modificato di n-1,5;
d) Conversione con Adobe Photoshop CS6;
e) Post-Produzione effettuata con Corel Photo-Paint X7 64Bit e Adobe Photoshop CS6;
g) Post-Produzione di completamento con Nikon Capture NX 2..

This image is from a report in continuous evolution that I am making in the search for specific faces expressing particular feelings, scenes of environmental emphasis, expressions and deep feelings conveyed through simple look, a particular posture of the body or even from simple clothes and decorations individuals.

These images will be collected in a "Artistic Photography Technical Manual" which will describe the special filming techniques, materials, photographic equipment, sites and scenic environmental conditions.

Can you believe these little characters beat their wings up to 400 times per minute, in swift flight. Literally blink and you've missed them
They use their little wings to actually swim underwater, using their feet to change direction
I'd not seen a puffin in real life previously and couldn't believe quite how small they were
The one thing you see first is their bright orange feet and bill, the latter is shed after mating season and is replaced by a shorter duller beak.
The numbers sighted have been reduced this year, possibly the bird-flu epidemic could have taken it's toll
They appear to be such inquisitive little characters and it was uncertain who was watching who
Can you believe they are still hunted in Iceland and The Faroes, even though recent autopsies have revealed these charismatic seabirds have been eating plastic pellets, known as nurdles.
A similar scenario happens with Minke whales
We as a human race, the supposedly intelligent species, have a lot to answer for
