Yesterday, I visited the annual Manitoba Orchid Show which had been cancelled throughout the pandemic so it was a pretty exciting event. There were several different types of orchids to view and this was one of them.

These lovely pink members of the cockatoo family are common in Australia with their subtle shades of grey and rose pink. This is reflected in the scientific name which translates as "dawn-crested rosy cap"

I took all these shots so I have to use them..;) I enjoyed myself while on this mini vacation that I decided it would be great to have another house on the coast. Well, the realtor gave me a heads up. She said," You can't be just looking. You have to get pre-qualified and ready to write the check." I'm afraid I'm going to have to put living at the coast on the back burner. I just not able to invest the amount of time it would take to find the right place.
On the bright side, I get my 2nd shot this week. Has anyone else had there 2nd shot. Just wondering if it's any different then the first one.

Justicia carnea, with common names including Brazilian plume flower, Brazilian-plume, flamingo flower, and jacobinia — is a flowering plant in the family Acanthaceae. Commonly called Hospital Too Far or Blood of Jesus. It usually turn to red when boiled with water. A lot of local people usually use it to solve anemia problem. The resultant liquid after boiling is usually crimson red. The perennial plant is native to the Atlantic Forest ecoregions of eastern Brazil.
