Yesterday, I visited the annual Manitoba Orchid Show which had been cancelled throughout the pandemic so it was a pretty exciting event. There were several different types of orchids to view and this was one of them.

I took all these shots so I have to use them..;) I enjoyed myself while on this mini vacation that I decided it would be great to have another house on the coast. Well, the realtor gave me a heads up. She said," You can't be just looking. You have to get pre-qualified and ready to write the check." I'm afraid I'm going to have to put living at the coast on the back burner. I just not able to invest the amount of time it would take to find the right place.
On the bright side, I get my 2nd shot this week. Has anyone else had there 2nd shot. Just wondering if it's any different then the first one.

Justicia carnea, with common names including Brazilian plume flower, Brazilian-plume, flamingo flower, and jacobinia — is a flowering plant in the family Acanthaceae. Commonly called Hospital Too Far or Blood of Jesus. It usually turn to red when boiled with water. A lot of local people usually use it to solve anemia problem. The resultant liquid after boiling is usually crimson red. The perennial plant is native to the Atlantic Forest ecoregions of eastern Brazil. Yes while we are not in a drought situation, it is dry and how the flora and fauna would love the usual availability of water as is in abundance on this lovely Lady’s Mantle just a few weeks back.
Grevillea is a diverse genus of about 360 species of evergreen flowering plants in the family Proteaceae, native to rainforest and more open habitats in Australia, New Guinea, New Caledonia, Sulawesi and other Indonesian islands. The species range from prostrate shrubs less than 50 cm tall to trees 35 m tall. Common names include grevillea, spider flower, silky oak and toothbrush plant. The brightly coloured, petal-less flowers consist of a calyx tube that splits into 4 lobes with long styles. They are good bird-attracting plants, honeyeaters in particular are common visitors. Grevillea flowers were a traditional favourite among Aborigines for their sweet nectar. This could be shaken onto the hand to enjoy, or into a coolamon with a little water to make a sweet drink. This flower is often referred to as the pincushion flower and is part of the honeysuckle family. Scabiosa is available in a wide range of colors such as red, purple, lavender, pink, blue and white. They measure 2-1/2 - 3" wide. Best viewed large.
