Years ago, I used to walk in a lovely beech wood. I never could remember exactly how to get there. Today, I found myself in it by accident ! I will not forget again.

I found this beautiful necklace on a parking lot after snowfall. No one around. Since 10 years this necklace is with me.

I spotted this glove with several burrs stuck to it lying on the ground in a local park on a recent day. I didn't pick it up or move it though, but just snapped a photo for today's Smile On Saturdays "Lost And Found" theme. After all, the owner may come looking for it.

For Smile on Saturday.
This is in a neighbour's garden, every time she found a lost flipflop, or thong as we call them in Australia, she would bring it home and nail it on the dead branch of her tree. She no longer lives there but the tree and the flipflops remain.

This garden ornament was totally lost in our jungle of a garden until our gardener George found it again under some bushes, Personally I blame our red squirrels.

This cat walked around the neighborhood all day and night seeking shelter. The next day my neighbor posted a photo of the cat on Facebook and in less than two hours she was back in her warm home ... two miles from our neighborhood. At first, I thought she was one of my neighbor's cats, because she has like three.

My car key was lost while visiting my Son, 180 miles from home, was never found..... What I did find was the Replacement cost £200!!
The day before this soft toy was loved and entertaining a child I believe, I found it the morning after with the smile on its face still intact :). This toy reminded me people who fall to the ground in public and have the ability to stand up quickly with a smile on their faces like nothing had happened.

Saw this pair of little boots in the park. I left them there though and hope the owner will come back and look for them.

This weeks theme of the Smile on Saturday group is "Lost and Found". Normally I don't photograph litter but there was something about the light and colours of this scene which I really liked. The empty beer bottle was standing on the veranda of a little cabin in the vineyards.
I found this clip earring when I parked my bike in town one day to post a letter. To photograph it I put it on the damaged floor of our staircase, I thought it would make a good background.
Now that I can see it in close up it looks nicer than I assumed before.
This is a simple story... That day, walking through the gardens, someone undoubtedly placed the glove, as seen in the photo, of the gardener so that he probably wouldn't go crazy looking for it...
The mystery will be where the other glove is?

My 9 year old came in with a coin, just after we moved into our current house,convinced he had found treasure. Turns out the previous owners had cemented some old coins onto the top of a gatepost. Probably due to the Euro coming in. No idea what coin it is...anybody know?
while I was still thinking about the new Macro Monday theme (lost and found), I was out in a very muddy and wild forest area with many pools. What I could see was brown and rotten. And then, in the middle of the chaos of fallen trees, there was a forest of flowers. Made my day. Happy Macro Monday everyone.
