This illustrates loop lighting again, because the right half of the subject is pretty well illuminated, and the shadow created by the subject's nose is still rather small. It shows broad lighting because the side of the subject's face that is turned towards the camera is illuminated. However, I think I should have tried to get more light on the right side of the face, because this almost looks like rembrandt lighting.

The Maple Pass Loop is one of the jewels of the North Cascades. It is a hike that gives you a little bit of everything - forests, wildflowers, lakes, ridgetops, a huge waterfall, and views - all in a splendid loop that is spectacular nearly every step of the way.

The DCAD community celebrates the first major exhibition of the fall, From the Studio, in an opening Art Loop reception on September 5, 2014. From the Studio: Eighteenth Annual Faculty Exhibition highlights the work of the studio art faculty here at DCAD. The art exhibited provides DCAD students and the community at-large the opportunity to explore the current and personal work of the studio faculty, from painting, drawing, photography and sculpture, to design, animation and film-related work. On display in DCAD’s Toni & Stuart B. Young gallery until October 29, an additional public Art Loop reception will be held on October 3, in conjunction with DCAD’s Family and Alumni weekend: www.dcad.edu

Then through the park, into the Dockton Woods, through the woods to Dockton Park on the water. Back through some of the Dockton Woods to Gold Beach and then down the road back to the Farm. If I can figure out how to export the track out of my GPS, I'll post that. We also hit some great geocache spots ...
