Thanks to zuni48--because of this challenge I experienced the Dallas World Aquarium :)

The Lookdown Fish is actually a silver fish, about 16-18 inches long, very flat, with a long, flat forehead.

I think someone needs to tell him a good joke!

Textures are my own, one created by hand with water paint on paper--the real kind.

If I were an Architect this is how Newcastle's Quayside would look. From a photo taken just after Lookdown.

My camera wasn’t with me so I spontaneously decided to try, for the first time ever, this staircase with my iPhone.

Morgen ist Treppenhaus Freitag.

This week is such an interesting one in that we celebrate Valentine's Day, Ash Wednesday and Chinese New Year.

This shot was taken around CNY time when most malls in China were decorated with lucky red lanterns and full of festive moods.

Cheers friends.

Queen Victoria Building Sydney Australia

The Queen Victoria Building (or QVB), is a late nineteenth-century building designed by the architect George McRae in the central business district of Sydney, Australia. The Romanesque Revival building was constructed between 1893 and 1898 and is 30 metres (98 ft) wide by 190 metres (620 ft) long. The building fills a city block bounded by George, Market, York and Druitt Streets. Designed as a marketplace, it was used for a variety of other purposes, underwent remodelling and suffered decay until its restoration and return to its original use in the late twentieth century.

After making a few shots at sunrise at the beautiful Omaha Beach, I found this elegant, woodland shaped textures left on the beach as the water had retreated with the tide. With the sun still low above the horizon, they stood out even more. I kept searching for around 20 minutes to find the best 'trees' to fit in a square crop, and this is the result.

Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!

Merry christmas everybody!

“The attitude that nature is chaotic and that the artist puts order into it is a very absurd point of view, I think. All that we can hope for is to put some order in ourselves.” —Willem de Kooning

I kind of think this little mushie looks like a UFO!

This was taken a while back, unfortunately I've not been able to go 'shroomin' this last year.. But I'm Hoping to this autumn 🍄🍂

I'm not quite sure what mushroom this is.. If anyone knows let me know!

I might have gone a bit heavy on the vignette here.. but I like it anyway. I didn't fancy trying to find the image in lightroom again to adjust it!

Looking down at colored pencils.

This is the original image that I posted as my last image with edits and only one fish. The tanks is lighted with blue lights! :-) This version is ok but I liked the clean B&W version with only one fish better.

Below in comment box 1 is the B&W image with all 6 fish or parts of fish.

Had a lovely little walk yesterday locally, down by the river Severn. While focusing to get shot of some clover in a field, I noticed these little water droplets on a blade of grass.

Thought it made an interesting shot for this weeks 'get low' 52 frames.
