I was out playing with slow exposures with people in them. This is one way you don't need a release to use the image.
The main shot I am posting is what my friend Denise said was the better one of an email I sent out.
King of the Road on his esk8. Electric longboarders show little fear on the streets of Chicago, mixing in with the fastest traffic and often accelerating faster than the cars around them. It's an amazing element of urban living and thrilling to see in person. I keep anticipating some horrific accident, but amazingly I'm yet to witness one. The skill of the esk8'ers is breathtaking and I often think they push the fine line between skill and risk to the hilt.

Last Saturday I met with some crazy guys who were litterally dancing on their longboards in the middle of the crowd at Trocadero place in Paris 🗼🏂 One of them even had a board with luminous pinky wheels... I couldn't resist organizing a little light painting session
Definitely more to come in 2016!
My Flickr buddy Shannon Jax picked up her first longboard. I told her I would take a quick video to give her some tips on getting around on one and not busting your ass ;-)
I have no idea why I said to place your foot behind the front binding, guess I have wakeboarding on the brain! I meant to say place your front foot behind the front trucks!

Mix of strobe and constant light. Constant light focused on skateboard and strobe on girl. Slow shutter speed and camera panning provided the steak effect on longboard.
Strobe was Godox ad600 in umbrella.
For this weeks theme on Macro Mondays Orange and blue a detail of one of my favourite longboard wheels. HMM everybody.
