I spent Saturday afternoon chasing bees.... I'm getting so much braver LOL And I even managed to get one in focus!!!!
This one was zooming around Mum's aquiligeas and had gathered a lot of golden nectar, you can see her little golden sack by her leg :)

So this is my first attempt at drawing a full head of hair, so of course I had to pick a target in motion cause I like punishment lol. I always try to do a bit of hair editing on my pictures but I realized just how different is it drawing it all from scratch. Thank you tutorials!! I also painted the fur over the furs she wore because I figured why not go full out if this is going to be so obviously edited anyways. I like the way the fur turned out better than how the hair did though. Gonna do more practice, it's not terrible for a first try but I know I can do better. Practice number one.

So it's the 'Alexander' catamaran on its way to McMahons Point Wharf, Balmain East Wharf and then across Darling Harbour to Barangaroo.
If you catch this ferry, you will be just in time for an amazing dinner at 'The Malaya' restaurant in Lime Street, right near King Street Wharf, at Barangaroo.

After dinner catch a night ferry back across the harbour, under the bridge, and on to Circular Quay. OR, get off at Luna Park (aka Milsons Point) and take the super fast, brand new, Metro driverless train back to the Hills District. Too easy, lol.

So I attended the AC DC 'Power Up' concert at the Sydney (Accor) Olympic Stadium, at Homebush in western Sydney, last Friday 21st November, 2025, and then again on Monday, 25th November, 2025.
It was VERY loud but amazingly energetic. My two daughters were NOT at all impressed, arguing that Taylor Swift is far better and more popular. "Well," I argued back, "let's see who has sold more tickets, and which tickets sold the fastest?" So we looked at the Ticketek website and guess what? AC DC destroyed Taylor Swift for sales!!! "OMG," declared Miss 18, "there must be SO many old people in Sydney." See what I live with.

While shooting long exposure shots, I wasn't thrilled to see this guy coming into my shot with a flashlight!. It suddenly went out and he stayed there for quite a while trying to get it working again I presume (never did). I took a few of him that weren't as long and have combined the two images. Later, I wanted to thank him for coming into my shot lol.
This is another fire study for my motion project. It’s a close-up image from my fireplace earlier in the year, about eight inches across - you can see a wood block at the top, the dark bit, and more logs at the bottom.
Like others I’ve done for this series it’s a ten image in-camera multiple exposure created using continuous shutter release over less than a second.
As previously you can see just how volatile the flames are. There’s a considerable variation over a short period.
I guess what I like about it (apart from the warm colours) are the woven textures in the image - an abstract complexity. That's why I'm getting a little repetitive lol...

The resulting jpeg was sharpened a lot using Clarity and High Pass/Linear blend, and had some tonal and colour work done on it using Curves, all in Affinity Photo.

Took the old timer to check the trail cameras for foxes he likes to help lol. Badger is my constant shadow and neither of us would want it any other way great company , friendship and what could be more loyal ??
