A Q train from Tacoma in its final stretch before arriving at its destination of Logistics Park Chicago in Elwood as the sun begins to set for the day.
It was nice to finally have a sunny day here in Illinois. I've been itching to take a sunny shot for the first time in ever, so I headed out the door and shot a few trains in the final sun rays of the day. Usually, when I want to just go out and shoot anything because of the conditions there isn’t a train for 40+ miles even though any other time they are constant.

I snapped this photo shortly after this freefall parachuting tandem team jumped out directly under the midday sun. With a 1000mm focal length and atmospheric haze, sharpness was not to be, but to my delight, I captured part of the sundog and its rainbow.
Needless to say, their skills were amazing!
May each one of us take inspiration this Memorial Day from the patriotism of the brave soldiers who died for our country!

The train originated from the QUBE load point at Coonamble and was destined for the QUBE owned unloading point at Port Kembla.

The BNSF southbound intermodal Z-SBDATG9 leaves Tennessee Yard in SE Memphis as it approaches the Holmes Road overpass. The five engine consist contains BNSF 7054 (ES44C4), BNSF 7707 (ES44DC), BNSF 7098 (ES44C4), BNSF 6777 (ES44C4) & BNSF 7040 (ES44C4).

Adriana, Ana Filipa y Marina, las tres nuevas locomotoras E4000 para la compañía MEDWAY, abandonan el ramal de la factoría de Stadler Valencia en Albuixech en busca de la frontera portuguesa. Se espera que inicien el servicio con mercancías en el país vecino próximamente y, si todo va bien, las podremos ver circular por nuestras vías en un tiempo. Saludos a los presentes y a los maquinistas.
