You can't possibly shoot a ramp that looks like this with a standard lens, right? This scene demanded a fish eye for sure. This is the entry to the Springfield Armory in Springfield MA. The Armory was the primary manufacturing center for US military firearms, operating between 1777 and 1968. Most of the property is a college campus now. This is an exposure blended image to tame the highlights and bring out the shadows.

My 2 years on flickr occured sometime last week as I drove through Eastern Washington. I had a chance to think of my friends who suffer through my hobby as well as my flickr contacts that have been so helpful. I know each one has a gift that I cherish but even then, one stood out from all the others.
simple.logic has a body of work that just 'simply' blows me away. His work is that inspiring. We've never met; but something about his images resonates profoundly with me. And I thought this would be a wonderful way for others to see what it is in photography that speaks to me; inspires me and how far I have to go...maybe another lifetime to capture the essence in an image that tells a story . I suggest you not wait for me to get there but just click on his link instead!

I don't know how else to phrase this.
It would stand to reason that the build is a build. But clowns are sometimes the stuff of nightmares, and sometimes that calls for a reversal of logic.
