Loch Morlich Reflections (I)/Reflejos en las aguas del Lago Morlich (I)
Second photograph of a series capturing the Cairngorms reflected on the surface of Loch Morlich
boating and sailing on Loch Morlich in the Scottish Cairngorms are hardly interrupted by a refreshing Summer rain :)
I liked this Scottish loch in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park a lot, Beautiful mountains as backdrop and an interesting, rocky shoreline, decent weather on a late summer day ... what's not to like?! :)
shore scenario of Loch Morlich in the Northern Cairngorms. Have you ever wondered about the stories of those rocks you encounter everywhere, how they got to ther actual place, which events made them come to rest here ... I guess of all features on our planet, water and rocks would have the most interesting narrative :)
Some late, dappled light over the northern corries of the Cairngorms. Taken from the shores of Loch Morlich.
I took this image on one of the very few times during a week in the Cairngorms in August where the wind dropped enough for calm conditions to develop across Loch Morlich. The flat surface coincided with some late light on the forest on the far side of the loch.
There's tons of fun to be had in Scotland!

We found Loch Morlich when passing through Glenmore and seeing the gorgeous sky we had to take some shots of it as reflected in the rippled surface of this beautiful lake.
An image taken on a cold but calm morning last December on the shores of Loch Morlich, with the Cairngorms mirrored in the surface.
The Scots pine woods in Rothiemurchus aren't just a historic remnant of how Scotland used to be - they're also extremely beautiful. Loch Morlich area to the Cairngorm mountains seen here, are among my favourite of places to walk around….

Another picture of this beautiful lake. Shortly before sunset the weather mood was very special, very typical of Scotland! After that, it was very cold and we were glad that we were able to warm up the car again.
Thank you for all of your Likes and comments, I am always very happy.

Stunning snow capped mountains as the the backdrop at Loch Morlich. Stunning place that really is the essence of the Scottish Highlands.... Sky, mountains & water.
This beautiful lake is situated in the Cairngorms National Park of Scotland! A wonderful sandy beach would invite for swimming, but in the mountains is still a little snow, this combination really fascinated me! In any case I'm packed very warmed up for the first time by a sandy beach.
Thanks for all of your likes and comments!
It’s rainy! A lovely spot where the river leaves the loch. The high Cairngorms are hidden in the clouds.

A black and white conversation of the And the loch caught the sky (I). This is part of a series of photographs I took at sunset in Loch Morlich and Loch An Eileen in October 2016. The full series will be available in The loch caught the sky
Captured from the road to the Cairngorm Mountain Railway in beautiful sidelight just before sunset
Loch Morlich enjoys one of the finest settings of any loch in the country. It is surrounded by forests and fringed by beaches, with the stunning backdrop of the peaks of the northern Cairngorms (Walkhighlands)

Loch Morlich is a freshwater loch in the Badenoch and Strathspey area of Highland, Scotland near Aviemore.
Iconically romantic....the end to the first day in the Cairngorms,,,came up here to find some proper winter,,,failed again.
Taken from the shores of Loch Morlich in the Cairngorms yesterday. The weather was dull but calm and the mirror surface of the loch was only disturbed by the occasional Goldeneye swimming past.
Fleeting sunlight on a cold day near Aviemore.
Perhaps I should stop shooting straight into the sun like this, I always seem get contrast issues around the brightest areas.
