Location: Seven Weeks Poort in the Little Karoo
Description: Here is another (half-decent) composition from my recent visit to the spectacular Seven Weeks Poort (I just wish I'd pressed the shutter one second earlier).
The magnificent vertical rockfolds, reaching for the skies on both sides of the road, reflect the inconceivable forces of the volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, forming the chain of Cape ripple-like mountains. Often the converging slopes leave only a narrow pass, just broad enough for the Huis River to pass through, whilst the precipices of naked, distorted rock-faces tower like walls of a natural rampart, obscuring the sun.
I honestly couldn’t think of any better place to pedal my bicycle… can you?

The hazy marshland beauty of this sim....which of course I forgot to grab a location link of to share...is just so fabulous. And this new dress from Bauhaus, like every dress from the amazing Bauhaus, is also fabulous. I was playing dress up late last night and then I decided to scamper about and explore for a bit before drifting to real life dreamland. And I decided to do a photo. In a goth glam dress. In a field. With my lil Jack Russell terrier. And a birdy on my head...who clearly confused my hairdo with a bird’s nest. Sometimes, I can find SL a bit depressing. And sometimes, when all of these disparate elements jump into my imagination and computer screen at the same crazy time, I truly laugh...and I love it! I certainly didn’t plan to wear a pink and black dress and then go to this sim and take this precise photo, but I was sleepy, and I didn’t wanna change outfits when inspiration struck! I love SL, I hate SL, I love SL.... 🐶😊 🐦
Location: The river Prüm in Irrel in the South Eifel near the Luxembourg border and not far from my home.
Looking for new perspectives today I found this place, where you stand in the water. There I hear then only the sound of water, a true meditation.
Ort: Das Flüsschen Prüm bei Irrel in der Südeifel nahe der luxemburgischen Grenze und nicht weit von meiner Heimat.
Auf der Suche nach neuen Perspektiven habe ich heute diese Stelle gefunden, bei der man auch ins Wasser muss. Dort höre ich dann nur das Rauschen des Wassers, eine wahre Meditation.

Location: Khao Yai National Park, Pak Chong, Korat, Nakorn Ratchasima (อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่, ปากช่อง, โคราช, นครราชสีมา)
It’s a long weekend this week so we spent a day in Khao Yai National Park. I met this group of birdwatchers shooting and filming ‘great hornbills’. Khao Yai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the oldest and one of the country’s largest parks which is located only a few hours drive from Bangkok or Pathum Thani. This park is home to some 300 or more migrants and residents species of birds. It is a large open grassland in the centre which offer great opportunities for observing birds that frequent the forest edge.
I had a chance to talk to one of the birdwatchers. He showed me the stunning photos taken from his massive telephoto lens which is common for wildlife birdwatchers. I think birdwatching is important as they provide huge amount of data to conservation researchers. Also, it provides an intimate connection between people and our natural environment which will lead to better protection of our wildlife.

Khao Yai National Park
Millions of years of wind, water and sand have created these rock formations. Indirect light in the late morning conjure up a picture of the colorful sandstone with many color gradations.
Location: Top Rock Plateau, Coyote Buttes North, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.
Millionen Jahre Wind, Wasser und Sand haben diese Felsformen geschaffen. Indirektes Licht am späten Vormittag zaubern aus dem bunten Sandstein mit vielen Farbabstufungen ein Bild.
Ort: Top Rock Plateau, Coyote Buttes North, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.
Location : Pantai Sabak, Kelantan. Mini outing with Buyie and nGku Li last Monday..Im still improving my slow shutter shots. As always C&C are very much appreciated...This is non HDR.
