Edging is a pretty wild local band who played Record Store Day in Chicago at Bric a Brac. Not pictured here was their saxophonist.

October 2010 Murray, Utah. One of three live multi-band All-Ages events I shot. This is a member of the Rock-Ska band Storming Stages and Stereos. Got the opportunity to shoot from stage a few times. Resulted in some fantastic shots. This is one of my faves. The editing was fun. Enjoy the finished product. Edited originally with Photoscape and later with Adobe LR and PhotoscapeX.
A black‑and‑white shot captures a live blues performance inside an intimate, dimly lit venue. Three musicians stand at the front of the small stage with guitars and microphones, while a drummer anchors the setup from behind a full kit. Soft stage lighting reflects off floral wall décor and hanging bulbs, adding a warm contrast to the monochrome tones. A banner reading “Colne Blues Society – Supporting Live Music” stands prominently in the background, reinforcing the event’s community-driven spirit.
The hazy atmosphere and close‑up perspective give the image a raw, immersive glimpse into a grassroots live music scene.

Part of a shoot I did for local Band The Day's of Tomorrow'', lead guitar and vocalist Gareth, who also happens to be my brother in law asked if I would be interested in doing some promo shots for the group, never having done this sort of photography before I was a little uncertain but still jumped at the opportunity,
It was a great evening at the local Irish Pub; we stayed late and listened to this very gifted band composed of what I guess were more senior citizens. Lots of applause followed their performances.
A small live music bar in Nan, northern Thailand, during an intimate unplugged performance at night. Three local musicians sit close together on a compact stage area. In the center, a female singer holds the microphone and sings with a relaxed smile. On the right, a male guitarist plays an acoustic guitar while singing into a microphone. On the left, another musician adds rhythm on percussion. Behind them, large glowing letters light up the dark background and give the room a modern nightlife feel. In the foreground stands a small round table with books and a pink lamp, adding a casual and personal touch. The whole scene feels warm, easygoing and genuine, the kind of place where people come for music rather than show.

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of doing a photoshoot of a local rock band here in the Detroit area... they are also personal friends of mine.
I couldn't decide which one I liked best, but this here is definitely one of them! I call it "The Angel Speaks" =)

A couple years ago, I worked on a music video with some friends. Unfortunately, the band broke up shortly before the video ever saw the light of day, but it was still a great weekend. I recently went back and re-edited some of my photos from behind-the-scenes.
Wheeeeee!
