A loaded NSM tailings train grinds upgrade at milepost 5 while PRLX 4695 on loan to the railroad heads to Babbitt with six bad-order ore cars for repair. Trailing the 4695 was SD28-3 1234.

Il Bucintoro fu ordinato da Vittorio Amedeo II nel 1729. Venne realizzato negli"squeri"(cantieri nautici) di Venezia con la supervisione del celebre architetto di corte Filippo Juvarra. Misura 16 metri di lunghezza per un massimo di 2,70 metri di larghezza e pesa circa 60 quintali. E’ l’unico piccolo Bucintoro veneziano sopravvissuto al mondo. Dal suo arrivo a Torino, il 2 settembre 1731, il Bucintoro divenne un protagonista della vita della corte sabauda, autentica "Reggia sull'acqua". Esso fu usato per tutte le principali feste dinastiche, dalle nozze di Vittorio Amedeo III nel 1750, a quelle di Vittorio Emanuele Il nel 1842, e del duca Amedeo d'Aosta nel 1867. Il 18 marzo 1869 Vittorio Emanuele II donò il Bucintoro alla città di Torino. Trasferito nel 1873 al Museo Civico torinese, fu esposto in diverse occasioni e conservato a Palazzo Madama fino al 2000. Nel 2002 l'imbarcazione è stata concessa in comodato alla Reggia di Venaria, che ne ha promosso il restauro, finanziato dalla Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Culturali di Torino. Dopo il restauro realizzato dal Centro Conservazione e Restauro La Venaria Reale, nel 2012 l'imbarcazione è finalmente esposta nella Scuderia Juvarriana (da Filippo Juvarra).
The Bucintoro was ordered by Vittorio Amedeo II in 1729. It was built in the "squeri" (shipyards) of Venice under the supervision of the famous court architect Filippo Juvarra. It measures 16 meters in length by a maximum of 2.70 meters in width and weighs approximately 60 quintals. It is the only small Venetian Bucintoro that has survived in the world. From its arrival in Turin on September 2, 1731, the Bucintoro became a protagonist in the life of the Savoy court, an authentic "Palace on the water". It was used for all the main dynastic celebrations, from the wedding of Vittorio Amedeo III in 1750, to that of Vittorio Emanuele II in 1842, and of the Duke Amedeo of Aosta in 1867. On March 18, 1869 Vittorio Emanuele II donated the Bucintoro to the city of Turin. Transferred in 1873 to the Turin Civic Museum, it was exhibited on several occasions and kept in Palazzo Madama until 2000. In 2002 the vessel was granted on loan to the Reggia di Venaria, which promoted its restoration, financed by the Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Culturali of Turin. After the restoration carried out by the Centro Conservazione e Restauro La Venaria Reale, in 2012 the vessel was finally exhibited in the Scuderia Juvarriana (by Filippo Juvarra).

Nonostante il mutuo scambio di dotazioni fra DB ed SBB Cargo si sia formalmente concluso agli inizi del nuovo anno con l'implementazione del sistema di sicurezza ETCS sulle prime Br185 delle ferrovie tedesche, almeno fino a fine gennaio è stato ancora possibile avvistare alcune locomotive delle SBB incaricate di trainare verso l'Italia convogli normalmente in carico al gruppo DB Schenker.
Ecco quindi uno dei "classici" del San Gottardo, il Winnerzug da Wuppertal per Piacenza iniziare l'ascesa verso Goeschenen al traino di un Re10/10 in luogo delle classiche TRAXX tedesche. (22/1/16)
T395 trundles across the Winters Flat trestle bridge just west of Castlemaine with an afternoon charter to Maldon.
T395 is on loan Steamrail Victoria as part of a joint venture agreement with the Victorian Goldfields Railway while their locomotives were out of service for repairs.
