On April 23, 2006, I rode a Speeder from Cordele to Plains, Georgia on a trip sponsored by NARCOA (aka North American Rail Car Owners Association). Since I don't own a Motor Car (aka a Speeder), I rode with a friend who owns two Motor Cars. These are some photos that I took during my trip on the Heart of Georgia Railroad.
On our way from Plains, Georgia back to Cordele & ultimately Pitts, Georgia, we passed by
this Brick Building with Advertisements Painted on the Brick Side next to the Heart of Georgia railroad Track. This is located in the City of Cordele.
We are headed to Pitts, Georgia which was our Speeder "Set On Point" to remove our Speeder from the HOG Railroad for our Trip Home.
I bought this red truck for 2 Euros on eBay. I figured that no one else was bidding because it was damaged. I really just bid thinking someone else would bid more. I thought I should at least make an attempt to show off the fact that it was still worthy of a photograph haha....
Someone obviously played with this LEGO wooden toy!

Seaboard Coast Line passenger and freight station in the very small community of Okahumpka, Florida, 7-24-1976, Fred Clark, Jr. This photo sure looks like it is the old days in this scene with the Florida natural vegetation appearance of the land. Notice that the semaphore blades have been taken off of the station's order-board signal. This station was part of the original Henry B. Plant network of branch lines in Florida and these lines were later taken over by The Atlantic Coast Line in 1902. In 1978, I believe the SCL donated the station for use as a historic site and museum. The line was still being used randomly after the donation of the station to service various locations, business, etc.

There are a number of Locomotives & Railcars at the Gulf Coast Railroad Museum (aka: Florida Railroad Museum) on US Route 301 in Downtown Parrish, Florida.
This photograph shows the B.E.D.T. Porter 0-6-0 T (Tank Engine) on Display near the Museum Gift Shop. It was built in March 1919 for the Brooklyn Navy Yard to switch Freight Cars around on the Docks in Brooklyn, New York. The Photograph also shows two Passenger Cars, one which serves as the Gift Shop and the other is a former Pennsylvania Railroad Passenger Coach named the Bradenton.
The Florida Railroad Museum offers Weekend Railroad Excursions for Railfans, Tourists and their Kids. They also offer themed Rides on special occasions, such as Polar Express (Santa Claus Train), Easter Bunny Train, Train Robbery Re-enactments, Thomas The Tank Engine, etc.

These are Walthers HO scale Loading Platform kits that I modified, detailed and weathered. Not the easiest or very fun kits to build but they turned out OK.
June 08, 2019 - My wife and I spent the afternoon and evening travelling on Amtrak to visit her family. While parked in Washington DC they changed engines from a diesel engine (Amtrak engine 5) to this electric engine (Amtrak engine 646) which was parked just behind our window on the train waiting to be attached.
They've enclosed the original loading platform on the lower level. Here you can enter actual UP railcars and see how people traveled. All original furnishings - carpeting, toilet fixtures, light fixtures, etc.
We went to the Durham Western Heritage Museum today. Amazing place. "Opened in 1931, Union Station was built by the Union Pacific Railroad as a showpiece in the city of their headquarters. Considered one of Omaha's most unique treasures, the renovated art deco building offers an exquisite look at Omaha's history."
Nice effect with the different colours brown, this picture whas shot on a train loadingplatform in the Amsterdam harbour.

My wife and I traveled by Amtrak to visit family in Maryland. We started our journey in Fayetteville, NC. The train depot is right next door to the brand new Segra Stadium. The stadium is home to the Houston Astro's Single A Carolina League team known as the Fayetteville Woodpeckers. While waiting for the train, I snapped a few pictures of the stadium from the loading platform at the depot.
The collage of industrial shabbiness in this area often contains human figures--especially this time of day. There is a shelter about a block away but it isn't open at this hour, so souls seek shelter where they can. And this area also provides some cover if they need to use.

I love the weathered look and the texture of this old loading dock. I can just imagine the tons of potatoes that were loaded aboard trains from this platform.
My wife and I were on the platform waiting for our train to arrive. The parking lot is that of the Airborne museum which is across the tracks and out of the picture.
While travelling home one aftermoon from work, I noticed this loading platform on the Nutty Club building and thought it had photographic possibilities.
