The Gran Canaria Giant Lizard (Gallotia stehlini) is a species of lizard in the Lacertidae family that grows to lengths up to 80 cm. .

 

Its natural habitats are temperate shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, rocky shores, and pastureland.

Wish I could remember the species...

Really liked these colourful little lizards.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

This is a male Agama Lizard. The females are a dull grey/brown. During mating season, their colors get very bright. Most of them seemed to be orange and blue, but we saw the occassional blue/Aqua Agama as well.

I was out hiking on my lunch/dinner hour and this little creature decided to pose after running between my legs.This critter was such a cool model; I mean flash going off, me all over it wow.

What luck to find this Elegant Earless Lizard, Holbrookia elegans, inbreeding colors and standing on tiptoe to keep at least a little cool in the scorching sun.
