Livewire is an independent long-standing youth charity based on the banks of the River Tamar in Saltash, Cornwall, offering support to young people through music and traditional youth work, helping steer them through the trials and tribulations of growing up and is a fully equipped live music venue. It has some surprising high profile backers in the music industry. An unusual 250 capacity venue for a band like Stiff Little Fingers who are playing venues on their current tour with capacities between 1,000 and 3,000. This was their opening show. Tickets went on sale last December and were sold out within minutes. Luckily my old mate and SLF fan boy Steve Briers acquired some tickets the minute they went on sale.
