I watched a nesting pair of Bald Eagles after golf on a windy day and this eagle snapped off three large limbs without stopping. There is one chick in the nest and the repairs were done working around it. I like watching Decorah Eagle cam which shows these majestic eagles in their massive nest. Berry college eagle cam and DC eagle cam are two others I enjoy following but nothing beats seeing them in person. Enjoy your week my friends. 😎

Topaz is a precious, affectionate little filly who enjoyed the attention and was looking forward to being turned out. Her handlers were taking excellent care of her.
Per Kentucky Equine Adoption Center: Topaz was born in June 2023. She is full of personality and is sure to spread joy to everyone she meets. Topaz is halter broke and enjoys a good grooming session. She has a big puppy dog personality and loves to cuddle. Topaz is super brave and very fond of humans. Because of this, we suspect she will be a very fun and uncomplicated filly to train when she is older. We have seen her gait and trot.

Below is a live-feed of Evolvene in labour. At the time of posting she has two ginger babies with more to come. Evolvene is at the wonderful tinykitttens rescue in British Columbia. Shelley, who is with her, is a kitten birthing expert. At the same time a vet is watching remotely. Between the two of them they are giving Evolvene and her babies every chance at life.

EVOLENE'S STORY (from the tinykittens website):
We were concerned the first time we saw Evolene. It was just a few days after we had begun feeding a new feral cat colony on a farm that has become a dumping ground for unwanted cats and kittens.
We thought Evolene was born feral until she was in our care for a few days and to our delight, transformed into the sweetest, purriest little girl. We now believe it's likely Evolene was Ginger Zero to be dumped at the farm, and reverted to the wild while giving birth to litter after litter of kittens over the years.
Evolene needed help because she was alarmingly emaciated with a large bulging belly. She had several other strange symptoms that could be potentially fatal to her babies, and she had severe dental disease. I was initally concerned she might be too unhealthy to sustain a healthy pregnancy, but seeing such a dramatic change in her during her first week in our care has been VERY encouraging.
By the end of the first week, Evolene was a different cat. She had gained almost a pound, and is able to eat canned food much more comfortably than whatever she had been scrounging up at the farm. I believe the pain from her dental disease made it impossible for her get enough nutrition, and now that she is chowing down 3 large cans of food every day, her babies will have the nutrition they need to make up for lost time.
I'm hopeful we brought her in just in time to turn things around and get her final litter of kittens healthy. Mom and babies will all be spayed/neutered and adopted into loving homes.

I started my 186 mile trek to see the sandhill crane migration 15 minutes late. (Maybe one too many times on the snooze button) As you can see the river has no cranes on the east side of the bridge. Back to the west are four flocks with hundreds of birds in each group. That is when the river has the most cranes
