Today is the last day this month to photograph the Milky Way since we're coming into the full moon phase. Here's a recent night shot from Zion National Park at the famous little tree. I'm heading to Bryce tonight for one last Milky Way shoot with a client and then it's back to a more normal sleep schedule! Contact me for more info on night photography outings.

Lone Little Tree looks all alone under the bright milky way.

Sharing is appreciated.

It's curvy it's green, it's the tree that only in dreams can be seen

I took a previous shot of this tree with a sunset. Couldn't resist another today.

Had company yesterday, so I didn't get to shoot much. I reworked this tree silhouette that I took in March. I did this one a little differently. I started with the background texture, then added the photo of the tree OVER the texture, then the moon and birds. I usually start with the picture and then layer texture over it. Each way is a totally different look.

It's a love affair between me and this little volunteer growing under the protective canopy of it's elders. Boardman Tree Farm, Boardman, OR. It's glory days will soon fade, as the popular crop of poplar trees is being converted to other types of agriculture by new owners.

First time visiting Milton and ended up on a church’s grounds to watch the sun set. Truly a magical thing to watch. The sun moving slowly down over the land, behind the clouds and caress the mountain ranges in the distance. Something I’ll probably never be able to forget this sunset.

Kath and I both spied this little tree, then we thought, maybe it is the top of a big tree that has been covered with snow. Olga
