WONDERFUL FACTS - The Wild Water Buffalo (Bubalus arnee) - also called Asian Buffalo, Asiatic Buffalo and Wild Asian Buffalo.
Is a large bovine native to the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
It has been listed as Endangered in the IUCN Red List since 1986, as the remaining population totals less than 4,000.
A population decline of at least 50% over the last three generations (24–30 years) is projected to continue.
The global population has been estimated at 3,400 individuals, of which 3,100 (91%) live in India, mostly in Assam.
The wild water buffalo is the probable ancestor of the domestic water buffalo

I decided to go down to Lister Park in Bradford to have a wander and see if there were any autumn colours left. Took a walk around the lake and was nice to see not only some colours but the sun catching them nicely. So i shot this as a multishot panorama and stitched together

Van 8 t/m 11 september ging ik samen met een vriend 4 dagen treinen spotten in het mooie Tsjechië. De voorspellingen lieten een aantal dagen met zon zien en qua werk kon het ook nog even. De eerste dag werd begonnen in Brniště en vervolgens werd naar het Elbe gereden.
Eerst werd de fraaie stek bij Církvice bezocht. Daarna hadden we keuze uit Vaňov of Ústí nad Labem-Střekov. De laatstegenoemde stek was aardig begroeid en bij Vaňov zou de fraaie 371 005 passeren met een sneltrein. Deze loc hadden we beide nog niet en stond hoog op onze bucket list.
Bij Vaňov bleek één spoor buiten gebruik te zijn wegens werkzaamheden. Desondanks kwamen er nog heel wat treinen langs. De treinen richting Ústí nad Labem reden op het linkerspoor. Afgezien van de gebruikelijke Metrans-trein(en) waren alle cargo's zeer interessant qua tractie.
Op de foto zien we de SD 184 502-3 met een kolentrein richting Ústí nad Labem twee zeer tevreden fotografen passeren bij Vaňov.
In 1988 werd besloten door de toenmalige ČSD om Škoda twee zesaassige locomotieven te laten bouwen als protype voor een grote serie locomotieven voor de sneltreindienst (serie 164) en zware goederendienst (serie 184). Er kwamen in 1994 twee locomotieven op de baan met de nummers 184 001 en 184 002. Tot een grotere bestelling kwam het nooit en de locomotieven gingen naar Severočeské doly (SD) waar de locs werden opgenummerd naar de 184 501 en 184 502. In 1999 werden aanvullend nog een drie locomotieven van de serie 184 geleverd aan SD. Totaal zijn er dus vijf locomotieven van deze serie te vinden in Tsjechië.

This Grade II*-listed stone packhorse bridge over the River Welland at Deeping St James in south Lincolnshire dates from 1651. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
Deeping St James is based around a now lost 12th-century Benedictine Priory, destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. The stones from the priory were used to build various 17th-century buildings in the area. The village is one mile east of Market Deeping which is also on the River Welland. This rises near Sibbertoft in Northamptonshire. The Welland is one of the main rivers that helps to drain the Fens. It joins the sea near Fosdike in The Wash.

Berkeley Castle is a castle in the town of Berkeley, Gloucestershire, UK. The castle's origins date back to the 11th century, and it has been designated by English Heritage as a grade I listed building.
The castle has remained within the Berkeley family since they reconstructed it in the 12th century, except for a period of royal ownership by the Tudors. It is traditionally believed to have been the scene of the murder of King Edward II in 1327.
In 1956 Berkeley Castle was opened to visitors and remains open today.

The listed, late Gothic daughter church of St. Peter with the Calvary Chapel is located in the St. Peter district of the municipality of Waldburg in the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. The Roman Catholic church stands on a hill about three kilometres west of Freistadt, at an altitude of about 700 metres above sea level, and is clearly visible from afar. Next to the church is the Calvary Chapel and the local cemetery. The church and chapel belong to the parish of Freistadt.
Die denkmalgeschützte, spätgotische Filialkirche St. Peter mit der Kalvarienbergkapelle liegt im Ortsteil Sankt Peter der Gemeinde Waldburg im oberösterreichischen Mühlviertel. Die römisch-katholische Kirche steht rund drei Kilometer westlich von Freistadt auf einer Anhöhe, rund 700 m ü. A., und ist von weither gut sichtbar. Neben der Kirche befinden sich die Kalvarienbergkapelle und der örtliche Friedhof. Die Kirche und die Kapelle gehören zur Pfarre Freistadt.
