These old yellow trams in Lisbon were everywhere.

I'd like to know the history of this beautiful building. I've come up short for many years. I hope it's still there. I think it's on Av. da Liberdade near Rosso Square.

Historic Tramcar in Lisbon

Lisbon’s trams are characteristic for the city streetscape. The historic yellow "electricos" rattle and screech through the narrow streets of Lisbon. The scenic and iconic route is the 28E, which crosses the Alfama district.

 

However, what sounds and looks kinda romantic is a actually quite weird in reality and an image of the excesses of today's mass tourism. If you want to ride the 28E tram during normal daytime hours, you need to queue for ~2 hours to get on board...
