The Bolsa Chica Wetlands and Ecological Reserve in Huntington Beach, California is an approximately 1,500 acre coastal estuary. Habitats include open water, mudflats, salt marsh, coastal dunes, seabird nesting islands, riparian, and freshwater marsh. More than 200 avian species have been identified at Bolsa Chica and the reserve is very popular with birders and photographers.

Sunset in Autumn over the hills of St. Tropez, reflected in liquid gold in the port of charming St. Maxime.
The conditions must be just right. Yosemite Valley for about 3 days in the middle of February. Snow melt run-off creating a seasonal waterfall. Sun setting on a clear day. El Capitan as the last rays of sun disappear from its face. When everything comes together, you get about 10 minutes of pure magic - California Liquid Gold, compliments of Mother Nature.

First time I laid eyes on the Italian Queen, I knew she was special. The worker bees have laid out a beautiful honey frame on both sides. This frame will be one of the few that will be extracted into honey this year. Honey extraction in Northern Nevada is traditionally the week of the 4th of July. This will be my first honey harvest.

Except for cropping out the telephone lines, this is SOOC.
Just a week ago Shane and I were on the Renvyle Peninsular, watching the sun go down and me thinking what a brilliant end to a brilliant birthday.
Now, we are experiencing extreme snow and ice conditions and Winter has arrived with a big bang!
My Container of furniture arrived at the house today. Well, it arrived and then it went away.
The guys skated up our drive (whilst not very steep compared to my Aussie drive) must be the steepest one in Castlerock.
Not had much experience of frozen driveways and of course bucket loads of hot water only turned instantly into thicker ice!!
Whoops!
So the chaps skated back down the drive and took my girlie goodies away until Friday when the driveway will be salted to within an inch of its life!!!
Wahhhhhhh, I want my girlie goodies!!!
