The boundary between Dalmatia and Italy in Roman times ... an intersting Wikipedia article en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lim_(Croatia)
All nature has a feeling: woods, fields, brooks
Are life eternal: and in silence they
Speak happiness beyond the reach of books;
There's nothing mortal in them; their decay
Is the green life of change; to pass away
And come again in blooms revivified.
Its birth was heaven, eternal it its stay,
And with the sun and moon shall still abide
Beneath their day and night and heaven wide.
- John Clare

Lim river canyon in autumn, eastern Bosnia, cute little canyon, I was hoping for better autumn colors, maybe November is a better month? Definitely off the beaten track by foreign visitors, though the road along the canyon is wide and smooth, and a marvel of engineering with viaducts and tunnels.

Location: Teck Lim Road at Keong Saik Street.
This building was built when I wasn't even born yet. It managed to survive through the course of history including the Japanese invasion of Singapore. On the right background is The Pinnacle at Tanjong Pagar, one of Singapore's tallest and most expensive place to own.
Teck Lim Road
Teck Lim Road is a one-way road linking Keong Saik Road to Neil Road in Chinatown within the Outram Planning Area of Singapore. The road is lined with conserved quaint shophouses and houses a number of budget hotels and F & B outlets. –Wikipedia
About Keong Saik Street
Once a famous Red Light (prostitution) district of Singapore the area has now been conserved and converted into an entertainment district in Chinatown. The prostitution business has since shifted over to Geylang where it is still popular for those looking for some pleasure.

Jonathan Lim Rest In Peace.
Jonathan was a close friend of mine.
I always have to remember why I get all bummed out this time of year.
So much stuff has been written about him, its quite strange that he has become this graffiti martyr. I wonder what he would think of the way people have turned him into this idea. I doubt he would he would care too much.
He was a painfully creative person and if he was still alive the only thing I know for sure is that his work would look very, very different from what it looked like back then.
He was always evolving fast and every month/week/or night he would change the way he did his tag, throwup, and name. He would even change his clothes a couple of times a night too to keep cops off him.
Also what people forget is how fucking crazy he was. Like actually really nuts. I mean allot of people were really freaked out by him, yet he was sweet at the same time. He also got very little respect from anyone until the last couple of months leading up to his death. He painted so much twords the end of his life that people had to respect that, but style wise they were still not ready.
John was an outsider, a very different human. And when he did graffiti it was pretty magical. I always just liked smoking weed with him, racking and drawing in day times. At night it was all business and the night went by fast.
I always wonder what sort of person John would have grown up to be. So many options, I really don’t know how his life would have played out 12 years down the road and thats the worst thing about his story. I will never know because it never happened. Maybe that is why he was so prolific in everything he did.
Thanks to who ever took these photos.
