I'm really liking these experiments...

On the 4th floor of that big mill in leek. Liking these abandoned building locations, definitely something different!

Thank you so much for liking this pic. It was a lucky shot. I am an absolute beginner. Bought my first camera end of May 2017. Took my fist pics beginning of June 2017. Please feel free to give comments on my work.

Two Northern Gannets, watched at the breeding colony at the island Helgoland. Amazing Birds!

Not liking the cold already, I put on a warmer/fun time pic of my little beauties at Bill's Backyard Bird Blind. Female Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

Thank you so much for liking my last photo, Chasing the Light!

As promised, here's the sunset photo of that evening, this was taken in Pinnacles Overlook, "the" place to be for sunset photos in Badlands National Park.

For the longest time there was no color in the sky, just thick clouds and a thin slit of the yellow sun with an orange glow. Finally as the sun was about to go down, it lit up some part of the sky and put a big smile on everyone's face.

Thanks for stopping by, please stay safe and healthy!

Thank you for liking my Invisible Lighthouse in my previous post and willing to play along! 🙏

Here's one that you can see - Ontonagon West Pierhead Lighthouse.

It's a “Skeletal” lighthouse with exposed frames to minimize wind resistance.

I wish you a very joyful and relaxed Sunday! 🌻

This image was captured with a different lens than the first. I ended up liking it both ways. If you look closely you can see the bubble collapsed slightly as it froze on the upper right side.

I'm liking the upgrade on RAM so sorry I'm sharing a lot today I know it's hard to keep up. But I really like this one and I hope that you do too!!

A day at the north sea coast, watching the flocks of migrating birds. At the end, sunset at the Kronenloch and playing a bit with reflections and silhouettes.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for liking and following my work, your comments and ongoing appreciations means a lot to me. This is a milestone I never expected to reach and I am humbled. I want to thank my partner Steven for being there in good times and bad and being my champion when I needed it most. My journey through SL photography has been made richer by all the amazing people I have met in the last year including creators who have become firm friends.

My RL is currently very distracting so this post is a little late, but I got there in the end!

Love is not extreme liking.

Love is not passionate but compassionate.

Love is not blind but sees everyone as family.

Love doesn't burn but cools the fires of lust.

Love is not personal but human.

Love does not patronize but empathizes.

Love emanates.

Love engulfs.

Love radiates

on rocky crag and furrowed field alike.

I can love people I don't know.

I can love people I don't like.

I can even love those I love.

These little beauties can be seen in the yard during what I call the bird show. There are two regulars that show up throughout the day. They can be seen picking off caterpillars, sipping nectar from the flowering maple or golden dew drop or getting a bath in Boggy creek.

I always knew that hummingbirds enjoyed nectar but never gave much thought to other birds liking it. However, since the backyard habitat started attracting so much attention from my fine feathered friends; I have seen the little tuftys, gold finches and the northern parula all go for a bit of nectar. There was a migrator that came for a day last fall, I did not get a photo and don't know what bird it was but it was actually sipping from the hummingbird feeder. Nature never ceases to amaze me.

I hope your day is absolutely amazing, happy snapping.

Today was my lucky dragonfly photographing day. Since now, I have been able only a few times to take photos of flying dragonflies, mostly not too good.

Today somehow it worked! Isn't this elegant hunter a beauty?

The beautiful bracelet you see in this photograph is from South Africa. I bought it from a young deprived girl who has made it her self. In South Africa everyone makes something and sells it. This is how they get their pocket money...

A little barn swallow family. The first time I've seen that they feed their youngsters in flight. Amazing flying artists...

This shot was edited entirely for my liking. Only the colours are not modified.

I improved brightness, saturation, clarity, sharpness, structure and I added a little of HDR. :)

I know, panning is not everybodys liking, but me I like it. I still have to improve in that technique.

Enjoy! ❤️

This canal and tunnel is one of my favorite places to visit any time of year. This year I haven't been able to visit it as much as I would have liked. Today the trees must have lost their leaves due to the strong winds we've had these past few days. I simply don't have my car because I lent it to a friend who had an accident and has to get to work. It will only be for a while, but I've missed those autumnal moments. However, I always have photos from previous years saved, so those are the ones I'll share for now.

Thank you for viewing my photos, for your comments, and for liking them. I'm very grateful! 💕

Liking the weather......lol !

Thank you very much for your kind comments, favorites and looking and please stay safe !

Barney

I was wandering around the front garden when I heard a noise on the fence. Barney came to see what I was doing. Shot with the macro lens, as that was what was on the camera at the time. He has taken a liking to sitting in this spot, there is a fence post for him to sit on.

Had a bit of a break, because of a burnout feeling in photography. But i'm slowly enjoying it again, going back to where i started, the sea, in a natural way. Think i can't keep up the high standard of LE work, since we don't have that many good places in Belgium for LE photography. Making a trip weekly is not an option. So i started to use my m43 system more, first for family pictures, but i'm liking it more and more, giving me more pleasure, without the weight of a full frame dslr with heavy lenses. Maybe i'll try some long exposures as well one day. So, here we are...

A simple shot of some beach cabines, hope you'll apreciate it.

Thank you for following me over the past time!

Kind regards,

Christophe.

A macro view of electric hair clipper blades. The frame spans approximately 3mm across.

I was growing increasingly discontent with the haircuts I had been receiving. It had gotten to the point that I would come home after my hair appointments, pull out my shears, and touchup my hair to my liking. I finally made the decision to just cut my hair myself. That was twenty-five years ago; I have been cutting my own hair ever since. This is a macro view of the electric WAHL clippers I have been using since then.

Side note: The blurry line in the top blade had confounded me. It appeared in each of several alternate (yes–60+ focus stacked) shots. I surmise that it is from the oil lubrication on the blade.

Strobist/technical info:

The scene is a 64-image focus stack composite. It was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights, CL/CR, fired through 24" softboxes in Manual mode @ ⅛ power and triggered by PocketWizard Plus Xs.

Lens: Nikon CFI Plan 10X Infinity Achromat objective + Raynox DCM-250.

This is the roads we went down to our friends in Floral City Florida. The trees around here are absolutely gorgeous. We are here two nights, and then on to my sisters. 87* when we arrived. No liking the hot weather.

A place I defo want to explore more for Seascape photography… St Abbs Head! The wider shot here was inviting but I preferred this version as the foreground was just soo messy for my liking! Im getting soo fussy in my old age!
