Thistles are said to provide high quality nectar, and are a common source of food for insects such as this Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly. We know that this Swallowtail is a female, as they have a splash of iridescent blue wash on their tails, which males do not have.

She likes the cool classics and in this stack she has Shakespeare’s Complete Works, Tolstoy’s Complete Works in two Volumes, The Poetical Works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Rudyard Kipling’s Kim. Not bad for someone who can’t read, huh?. But, she has a lot of talent in other ways, like making you fall in love with her, etc. By the way, in case you hadn’t noticed, she’s a Manx cat and only has a small tuft of soft fur back there. Her Daddy is "Beautiful Blonde Bobby".

Hennessy likes sticks, even little ones.
She's kind of scary-looking, but she plays with Finn, the Corgi.
This digital illustration was a pain to do because I took so long deciding what the girl's hair should be like. I think I got through about 20 different hair styles.

Riley likes to look into the neighbor's yard to see what's going on. Here he is making himself taller so he can see over the bushes which block his view when he stands on all four legs.

The white-lined sphinx flies primarily at night, despite its other common name, the morning sphinx. Adults will nectar on a wide variety of flowers, including thistle, columbine, lilac, and clover.
