Supported by steel girders and beams and lit in blue and white: the underpass at Essen central station.

Another "compression" shot, here of an underpass in downtown Essen that can only be caught by tele lens.

I saw this OHV coming and quickly framed the shot, what I didn't see is the owl in the lower left.

thank you very much for your comments!

The blended result of the airliner light trails exactly is what I want. Thank you so much, Mark Jones who gave me the right direction and a great short cut to stack those 22 images in Photoshop, this is truly a big credit indeed. So, Flickr is a nice place to be and to stay, when you got some troubles in photography or the operations of software, there are lot of kindly friends standing by your side around.

Thanks again Mark! Your helping hands just appeared in time which let me had gotten a huge step in advancement. 😅

This image was taken on the Ralston Avenue Bike Trail Bridge, which situated at northbound of Interstate 280 and interchange State Route 92 in San Mateo, California. When the heavy clouds almost covered the north of peninsula of San Francisco in the twilight, only here was quite clear that let me had an opportunity to shoot traffic light trails under the beautiful sunset sky. But it was windy and chilly, temperature about 55℉/13℃ in the early evening although in summer.

Thank you for taking time to view this photo, wishing you a great day/night wherever you are.

I shot this from a bridge over the M1 motorway near Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The M1 runs from London to Leeds and is largely straight which doesn't make for a very interesting shot, so I chose this location for its perfect vantage point over the curved section you see here. The glow on the horizon is from the city of Leeds in the distance.

I took several shots while I was there but decided to go with this one because I like how the headlights from the oncoming traffic are a nice white light. It seems that all of the vehicles passing during this particular 97 second exposure happened to have modern white LED or xenon lights, even the lorries. In all the other shots, the headlights were a much warmer yellow-white from the more traditional halogen lights.

The trip was tinged with a little sadness though. I didn't find out until after I returned home that, on this same night a little further south of here, a woman jumped to her death from another bridge over the M1 very close to where I live. Makes you think.

Down the Highway 1 Big Sur, California Coast.

The view from Chicago's Wolf Point is ever changing. This is where the three branches of the Chicago River meet and in non-frozen months, there's always boat traffic. If you wait long enough, you can get train and boat traffic.

After the visit at the Christmas market in Esslingen we parket at the "Tor im Remstal" and took some lighttrail pictures!

Shanghai, China

December 2015

The image (a crop) shows a close up of the Yan'An Elevated Road/Highway from the Bund (Waitan) in Shanghai, China. The partial building at the bottom right hand corner is No 1 on the Bund - Asia Building. This image was captured late into the blue hour when the sky was almost black. As this is a close up of this section of the urban scene, no sky is seen within this image.

Morning! Remember those settled conditions? Well, I did some early starts and late finishes at work so I could get out. And of course ended up with about 100 pictures of Shutlingsloe 😂

I pulled in here to have a think about where to go and had this "bright" idea! Yeah, it's a bit rubbish but it was fun. And I didn't get run over.

Bus station bus trails

There are a lot of Christmas-tree-looking trees along seaside in this town. Very strange.

This was from the balcony in our accomodation.

The big tree in front even got some twinkle stars but absolutely disturbing my view.

The high-rise buildings in the middle far away are

in Surfers Paradise.

This was a very rainy day's blue hour.

The sky turned really red after this.

Traffic light trails on the Makkason interchange Bangkok

This was a fun thing to try and capture. My husband took me to a lookout that has a winding road up to it. The trouble was, there were no cars going up and down, by the time it was dark, everyone had gone home. So HE drove up and down the road for me...at least 6 times!!! This was a double exposure of him going up and down.

Liked this exposure catching the trucks that were all there lined up and racing down the interstate.

thought i'd leave the lens flare alone
