So, one of my contacts came up with the best story for the tall pylons. They are tall because the Texas coast gets battered with hurricanes from time to time. Don't know for sure if that's the reason but it sounds good.

I can't help buy wonder why someone would pay marina fees to keep that old wooden Trimaran floating like there were going to use it anytime soon. I know, not my money, find something else to worry about ..;)
