Location: Oyster fields of Luzhugou Fishing Harbor (北門蘆竹溝漁港) in Tainan in Southern Taiwan. This image was stacked with three horizontal shots in order to pull a wider vision. Thanks for your visit, hope you enjoy your days and happy snapping as always!
Hello my friends, I hope you all doing good.
I took this photo ten years ago.
One afternoon, I was taking some shots from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris City while it was lightly raining. After the rain was gone, I found this view on the other side.
It was December in the air it's already Christmas

First National Bank Tower disappears into low cloud.
About the tower:
The First National Bank Tower is a 634 ft., 45-story skyscraper at 1601 Dodge Street in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. Completed in 2002, it is currently the tallest building in the city of Omaha, and in the state of Nebraska, and has been since its completion, overtaking the 478 ft., 30-story Woodmen Tower located nearby. It was built on the site of the former Medical Arts Building, which was imploded on April 2, 1999, to make way for the current skyscraper. Inside the glass lobby is a large section of the ornamental facade from the former Medical Arts Building that once stood there.

When the lighting of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government becomes red, it indicates that COVE-19 is in a dangerous state.
Today's Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building was creating a mist of rainbow-colored light.
The beach crowd has long gone with the onslaught of storm clouds and the imminent threat of heavy rain. Already, droplets have started to fall. Even so, there are a few surfers still in the water, one riding a wave. They are soon to be joined by the lone surfer on the beach heading for the water.
Like the crowd, the surf lifesavers have also headed for shelter, leaving the safety flags behind of where best to swim for swimmers. All in all, the drama unfolding provided an excellent winter photographic opportunity. (Note: being subtropical, the water is still relatively warm when the sun is out).

Another DIY perch shot. In the last couple of days my feeder has been quite popular after being completely void of visitors for what seemed like a couple of weeks.
A visitor I do not see too often, and when I do it is usually foraging around on the ground, so I was very happy to see this little guy on the perch in some nice soft light.
The male Wood Duck is one of the most colourful water birds in North America. He is with two other female birds. Unfortunately a long distance massive clouds up in the sky and colours on sun plus minimal current light rain showers.
都庁議事堂のひさしに下に隠れあんあり濡れませんでした。
でも水滴が舞っていると見えて何度もレンズを拭きながらの撮影でした。
I took a picture from under the eaves of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and didn't get wet.
However, the water droplets were flying, so I took pictures while wiping the lens many times.
It was a quiet morning with a light drizzle, but I was actually quite nervous taking pictures because I heard that a mother bear and her two cubs had been spotted in a tree a few days earlier.
比較的安全な都心の繁華街は何処だろうかと考えた結果、浅草に行って来ました。

I wondered where the relatively safe downtown area of Tokyo is. The result was Asakusa. So I went to Asakusa.
As I expected, there was little traffic, but the weather forecast was off and it was raining lightly. Sky Tree is in the clouds.
Here he is, the bull Elk that no other bull would challenge, king of the herd. A 7x9 bull - count the tines - is fairly rare. I "met" an 8x8 a couple dozen years ago in this same park; he followed his harem of cows as they wandered through my campsite, and proceeded to trash a young sapling next to my tent while I crouched behind my car. It's best not to present a target when one of these big fellas is pumped up during the rut. They can be edgy and aggressive. And they're huge.
At this point we - half a dozen photographers - had been following the elk herd for about an hour as they moved through the woods and down to the Athabasca River. I liked being in the open. A gentle, misty rain was falling; there was better light, and far less likelihood of a surprise encounter at close range. Of course, there were also fewer trees to hide behind...

Another shot from the wonderful rainy morning in June that produced several good wildflower and fighting pheasant images...
This male Burrowing Owl was perching on a prairie boulder - ie. glacial erratic - when I drove up, and aside from swivelling his head, didn't budge. It was still there when I drove away. A wonderful, unexpected bonus!
I know it's the male because I have seen the pair together on several occasions. The female is darker.

The first time I visited A'Dam was in 1997, and since then I've never stopped loving its splendid seventeenth-century
atmosphere, its unique landscapes, its madness, its free and civilized identity. Unfortunately, it suffers from aggressive tourism that has undermined its social identity, the same price paid by Venice; however, you only need to travel a few kilometers to rediscover the most authentic Holland.

Vorrei, vorrei poter bruciare il mio biglietto,
Venezia che non piangi mai,
I tulipani accendono i colori
e tutti corrono a rivedere te.
A pair of lion cubs take a break from their play session on a large kopje and rest on top of one of the smaller rocks. February/March is the rainy season in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, and the cubs are wet from a light rain. Their mothers are nearby watching for dangers such as unrelated male lions or hyenas.

After a while, the tip of the tower appeared.
Shooting in light rain is also surprisingly interesting.
Back home for some backyard birds for the next few days.
Although we have received a wee bit of rain lately it has not been nearly enough, but better than nothing. I liked the wet look of this male American Goldfinch in the light rain. Light was so nice and soft. Although I have seen its mate, I have not yet got pictures of her. I can not recall noticing before, but these guys sure do seem to have very tiny dainty feet.

Visual alliteration. Where alliteration is the repetition of initial consonants in words to some poetic effect, visual alliteration is my idea of what happens when the shape of the subject has a visually similar repetition in another element of the image. It's a fun thing for me to look for when making my pictures.
On an overcast day, with some light rain, a pair of lion cubs indulge in a little sibling rivalry on the top of a granite kopje. Lion cub sibling rivalry, which includes some intense roughhousing, is playful survival tool which teaches hunting skills and prepares the cubs for adult life. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. I liked how the legs of the cub to the left, and the offside paw touching the paw of the cub on the right, helped to create a circle that drew the viewer to both their heads.

Three lion cubs from a large pride play atop a smooth rock in a large kopje, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. The left cub is carrying off a bone from a carcass that was lying on top of the weathered rock. The cubs and the rock were from a light rain during the rainy season.

This lionesses, guarding the cubs on their playdate on a large kopje (granite outcropping) in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, could sense the presence of a non-related male in the vicinity. These males will primarily target nursing cubs, typically those nine months old or younger and ~ 1/4 lion cubs that die in their first year are victims of infanticide. The lionesses are fiercely protective of their cubs.

It started raining lightly as I walked the edge of the marsh at Newton Lake. I welcomed it - as everyone else in the valley has - after three drought years. The scattered raindrops, almost a mist, didn't interfere with my efforts that morning, although unusually cold and stormy spring weather had delayed many of the migratory species I like to photograph. The light was variable, from weak sunshine to heavy overcast; no problem there. A photographer has to learn what the light is good for, and constantly adapt.
And there were ducks, geese, and a few early sparrows and warblers. When this Canada Goose flew past me low over the cattails, all I had to do was focus track and shoot in burst mode. The raindrops added a pleasing component. I decided to return to my car to get my rain jacket, which for unknown reasons I was not wearing. The rain stopped a moment later. The sun came out. Clouds rolled by. Geese honked. Yellow-headed Blackbirds called. I turned around and kept walking.
My perfect record remains intact: I have lived here full time for more than 11 years after relocating from the raincoast of British Columbia. During that time, I have not worn my rain jacket once.

Acer palmatum, commonly known as Japanese maple, palmate maple, or smooth Japanese maple is a species of woody plant native to Korea, Japan, China, eastern Mongolia, and southeast Russia. Many different cultivars of this maple have been selected and they are grown worldwide for their large variety of attractive forms, leaf shapes, and spectacular colours.
Several of the lion cubs from a large pride made their way to the top of a kopje in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, in a light rain and looked out over the savanna. One of the cubs decided to buck the trend and face in the opposite direction. I loved how the black markings on the backs of their ears showed up in this shot. These black patches act as visual beacons for other pride members. They are especially important for cubs following their mother through tall grass or for pack coordination.
