another desk/table top piece entitled Twin Spirals. This is just one of a series of smaller pieces I have been working on lately
A round incandescent light fixture with a warm amber hue, mounted flush against a smooth surface, casts a circular shadow on the wall while providing illumination in a sheltered environment.

Very cool looking Mid-century Modern staircase and light fixture (through a window since the place was closed).
Los Alamos was technically an Army post until 1946 when the Army contracted the running of the town to the Zia Corporation. In 1949, Los Alamos County was finally formed, and in 1964 private ownership of houses was allowed. So many of the buildings in downtown Los Alamos and the surrounding mesas date to the late 1950s and early 1960s.
I thought these light fixtures were the same ones that are outside Worcester City Hall. Now that I have the photos side by side, I see they aren't exactly the same, but they're very similar.

The Ohio Historical Center was designed by William Byron Ireland in 1966 in the then popular Brutalist style. It opened in 1970. The scheme for the building brought people up into the center of the building and then they could either go upstairs into the library/archives block or down into the museum. The entrance today is through the basement and the central plaza is unused as an entrance.
