Ceiling light, Mullin Automotive Museum, Oxnard, CA

Photo taken for Never Professional Challenge #23: Urban/Suburban/Rural Decay.

Seen in southeast Portland, Oregon. Below in comments is a close-up of the same. I like the close-up for the light fixture detail. But, the wider view shows more of the decay with the peeling paint. Your opinion?

The Ohio Historical Center was designed by William Byron Ireland in 1966 in the then popular Brutalist style. It opened in 1970. The scheme for the building brought people up into the center of the building and then they could either go upstairs into the library/archives block or down into the museum. The entrance today is through the basement and the central plaza is unused as an entrance.

Another gem of Philadelphia architecture that is widely respected and admired. It's one of the busiest Amtrak stations in the U.S. and is a just a nice place to wander around and notice all the details.

No telling how many years this sat in my closet waiting to get the ladder and hang this. I decided it was easier to hang it in its original state and unbag it afterward. Worked fine, took some time to remove the tiny plastic bags covering each strand. I am looking for the perfect bulb now.

If you wonder about the bed canopy, it is 2" x 2" black metal and it is the full/double bed ARCHITECTURE style from Room & Board in Minnesota. Also available in the usual sizes, and in multiple colors I believe. The delivery guys put it together.

The AirBnb we stayed in on this trip was absolutely stunning, the interior design nerd within me really enjoyed the pendant lights.
