Steady traffic streams through the Downtown Dallas’ Woodall Rodgers Freeway as night sets on North Texas.

This evening photograph of the Singapore River was taken near OUB Plaza looking into the direction of Marina Bay, with the historic Cavenagh Suspension Bridge illuminated in blue.

The other landmarks include Fullerton Hotel (on the right of the photograph), Anderson Truss Bridge, Esplanade Theatres on the Bay (with distinctive roof structure lit up at night) and Swissotel Stamford (the tallest hotel in Singapore).

The light trails of a water taxi are captured in the foreground, when the taxi was traversing towards the Cavenagh Bridge.

Best wishes for the new week!

Trail head at Cherry Creek Falls, Duvall, WA.

In front of the Treasure Island Hotel, the sidewalk is really a boardwalk - we just weren't able to go under it! HFF!

Taken from the high floor through a less than 8" small window opening, a tripod was impossible to set up due to the shooting angle and tight space. The camera was handheld, resting on the window frame, and I was doing my best to stay still and steady.

Please stay warm for those who are in the arctic blast zone!

TGIF and have a happy weekend!

Walter Taylor Bridge, once known as the Indooroopilly bridge - - light trails.

Indooroopilly bridge — the only habitable bridge in the Southern Hemisphere. It remains the longest span suspension street in Australia, built with the support cables initially used in the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Three generations of the same family — descendants of the bridge's original toll master — lived in the Indooroopilly pylon for more than 70 years.

This blue hour photograph was taken at Amsterdam Keizersgracht (Emperor's Canal). A canal boat from Keizersgracht was turning left towards Leidsegracht. This photograph captured the light trails of the boat and vehicles, and associated reflections in the canals.

I know it's a Classic, but I just wanted to make my own ;)

The Same Architect, Sir Horace Jones, who designed the Leadenhall market, also designed the famous Tower Bridge and many of London's famous markets like Smithfield Market and Billingsgate Market.

This night photograph registered light trails from London double-decker buses and vehicles travelling along Cannon Street & St. Paul’s Churchyard next to St Paul’s Cathedral. The attractive light trails of different colours and line weights, recorded for Bus 15 and other vehicles, add dynamism to the cityscape.

Taken from side of A82 at The Meeting of the Three Waters

I was heading back from Glen Etive and had never stopped at at this classic viewpoint but had it in mind as somewhere to just try a light trail as it was starting to get dark. I wasn't going to risk walking further along the A82 to get to an S-bend section as it was not great weather, dark and definitely sketchy at that time due to the amount of traffic. I played it safe and shot from the footway at the viewpoint and just experimented. This was one of the few where an HGV went past and I had vehicles passing in both directions. Nothing fancy but I kind of liked it!

The LA skyline is fantastic, as seen from the very popular Mulholland Drive overlook. This was captured at the morning blue hour, before sunrise - lovely watching the city awaken to the dawn.

I will be away for work and vacation - will be off Flickr from June 14 to around July 20. Catch up with everyone when I get back.

This night photograph shows some buildings with reflections in the waterway and wavy light trail of a lamp hung in a boat rowed with single oar in Wuzhen Xizha. This area has been renovated architecturally in the original style, and is beautifully lit at night. Wuzhen is one of the ancient water towns along the Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal founded about 1300 years ago.

This photograph was taken from the board walk of Clifford Pier looking towards Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort. Some of the landmarks in the photograph included (from left) Singapore Flyer, ArtScience Museum and Marina Bay Sands.

A water taxi with tourists on board was making a left turn. The long exposure captured the light trials in front of the landmarks. The colourful landmarks provided attractive background to nightscape.
