Everyone has probably been annoyed by how much space potato chips take up. There is a simple solution to this problem. The space requirement decreases enormously if you grind the chips. The most effective way to do this is with a blender.
Inspired by jazzmasterson and infrarad, I'm going to try adopting coin envelope based project management.
These are all currently empty. I put them up to prove they'd hang correctly with the position of the pin/clips.
In which I attempt to explain life hacks to a lay audience in 9 slides.
I swear it’s funnier with the transitions and my live musical soundtrack (mostly performed while holding my nose and trying to emulate an Edison Wax Cylinder).
I often do weird little things to make my life easier (and people subsequently make fun of me). Today, Chanel and Bryce encouraged me to document them on Flickr. I think I'll start a new series. Lancisms. Zillahacks. I dunno.
I've been seeing more and more people using rubber bands to keep their RSA tokens from jingling against their badges. I saw Dorelle do it a few weeks ago. A couple of days ago, Erin asked me for a rubber band.
When I was digging one out of the girl's hair band box, I found a nice little purple one. Then, I realized that there was an easier solution. Velcro!
If you use no strap or use a wrist strap, you may have experienced the fear of your camera slipping from your fingers. Fear no more.
Simply attach a keyring to the strap ring (or triangle) and put your middle finger through it, and you're all set. It's surprisingly comfortable and reassuring.
I've tried this both with and without the wrist strap, and it works both ways no problem.
How do you keep two kids in separate rooms, because you're not sure if one is sick yet? Take an iSight with a laptop and plug it into your other room. Connect via Rendezvous. Voila! Instant video monitor!
This is my bucket list Personal Kanban. Since first making up a bucket list pk originally on my ikan app, it has been in it's own right successful. For me, just the simple fact of the visualization helps me to actually try to achieve some of the items on my bucket list. Up until that time my bucket list had been virtually ignored. I also put it into my moleskine, where I now have most of my Personal Kanbans. I may not have completed much on the list but before I put my list onto a personal kanban there was only ONE thing completed. Purchasing the moleskine has been the best money I've spent in a long, long time. :-)

Handy Hint - instead of getting the measuring jug out every time, find a mug which holds the right amount, and mark the packet accordingly. Or you could adopt the USA 'cups' measure.

Made out of a V Energy Drink can! I learned how to make this from Grant Thompson, the King of Random!
I'd call that a V-Hack!

I don't know why it took me so long to figure this out after trying to slip my cords and chargers in every which way and always misplacing one piece. This is for bike gear. It also works very well for tiny cables and gum.

This is the original rack I made, which works well, but is more awkward to make and store. It is now a temporary rack for some A6 material that needs sorting.
