This lightship is moored at the former NDSM Shipyard, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Trinity House Light Vessel No. 94, now named Brightside, was built in 1939.

The Lightship Amrumbank has ensured safety for decades by illuminating the waters of the North Sea as a floating lighthouse. The ship served in various strategic positions, essential for the navigation and safety of countless ships in the busy shipping area.
De Lichtschip Amrumbank heeft tientallen jaren de veiligheid gewaarborgd door als drijvende vuurtoren de wateren van de Noordzee te verlichten. Het schip diende op verschillende strategische posities, essentieel voor de navigatie en veiligheid van talloze schepen in het drukke scheepvaartsgebied.

In the bright red lightship Vessel no. 11, moored in Rotterdam Wijnhaven near the Regentessebrug, English restaurant Vessel no. 11 is established since 2009. The lightvessel was built commissioned by Trinity House in 1951 at the shipyard Philip & Son in Dartmouth on the English south coast. Is was in use as a lightship till 1988.
In het felrode lichtschip Vessel no. 11, afgemeerd in de Rotterdamse Wijnhaven vlakbij de Regentessebrug, is sinds 2009 Engels restaurant Vessel no. 11 gevestigd. Het vuurtorenschip is in 1951 in opdracht van Trinity House gebouwd op de werf Philip & Son in Dartmouth aan de Engelse zuidkust. Het heeft tot 1988 als lichtschip dienst gedaan.

De Wijnhaven is een haven in het centrum van Rotterdam, gelegen tussen de Oude Haven en de Leuvehaven. Het is een historische haven, gegraven in 1613, en ooit het centrum van het Joodse leven in Rotterdam. De Wijnhaven is verbonden met andere havens zoals de Oude Haven en de Leuvehaven. Deze Wijnhaven kreeg het in de Tweede Wereldoorlog zwaar te verduren. Veel oude panden zijn verloren gegaan. Het statige Witte Huis, de oudste wolkenkrabber van Europa, is een van de weinige historische gebouwen die nog overeind staan.
The Wijnhaven is a harbor in the center of Rotterdam, situated between the Oude Haven (Old Harbor) and the Leuvehaven (Leuve Harbor). It is a historic harbor, dug in 1613, and was once the center of Jewish life in Rotterdam. The Wijnhaven is connected to other harbors such as the Oude Haven (Old Harbor) and the Leuvehaven (Leuve Harbor). This Wijnhaven suffered greatly during World War II, with many old buildings destroyed. The stately Witte Huis (White House), the oldest skyscraper in Europe, is one of the few historic buildings still standing.

Lichtschip 12 De Noord-Hinder - Relocation
This Lightship (Est. 1963) is the last lightship built in the Netherlands. On March 21, 1994, this last Dutch lightship was definitively taken from the sea and is now a museum ship in Hellevoetsluis. The all orange ship in maintained by a group of passionate volunteers keeping the ship in authentic state. The ship has been in service at several places on the North Sea off the Dutch coast and is still well known to many shipping crews.
The Noord-Hinder is 45.4 meters long, 8.35 meters wide, draft 3.2 meters, displacement 510 tons and was equipped with a few small diesel engines. The light, in an 18-meter tower above sea level, had a range of 27 nautical miles. The light from the 4,200-watt lamp was amplified by a Fresnel lens and emitted 2 flares every 10 seconds. It was also equipped with a radar beacon and fog horn.

The Atlantis barkentine was built on a shipyard in Hamburg in 1905 as a lightship – a beacon in the mouth of the Elbe. In a place where the construction of a lighthouse is not possible. After 70 years of service she got a second life as a sailing ship. The underwater ship of the Atlantis has a classic sailing ship line. A reason to thoroughly restore the ship in 1984 and to provide it with the rigging of a barkentine.
This means that the front mast of the sailing ship is rigged and the remaining masts are moored alongside. (www.sail.nl/)
SAIL Amsterdam is a maritime event held once every five years in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Tall ships from all over the world visit the city to moor in its eastern harbour. SAIL Amsterdam 2025 is the tenth edition, and the first one since 2015 as the 2020 event was cancelled. It was one of the main events celebrating Amsterdam's 750th birthday. It was also 50 years since the first SAIL Amsterdam was held.

Lightship Amsterdam is a B&B like no other with its unique spacious and luxurious rooms in the hull of a former seventy-two year old British lightship.
Het schip is in 1952 gebouwd in het Engelse Darthmouth en werd tot 1980 ingezet als lichtschip voor de kust bij Margate.
In de jaren negentig kwam het schip naar Nederland en meerde het na een opknapbeurt aan bij de NDSM-werf.
Het ligt nu aan de Mariadistelkade, in het Johan van Hasseltkanaal, en herbergt twee aparte B & B suites.
De grote lamp bovenop het schip doet het nog steeds (parool.nl).

My good camera was fixed and back, so wanted to get the feeling again despite the cold, wet and grey day. But with some help of HDR and Tonemapping (Photomatix) the results are good.

Deze vuurtorenboot in Amsterdam (ook wel bekend als een lichtschip, wat dus letterlijk inhoudt dat het een mobiele vuurtoren op een boot is,) stond een paar jaar geleden nog gefeatured in de interieurrubriek van het Volkskrant Magazine, nu staat het schip te koop op Funda. Een stijlvol buitenkansje, die je zo'n € 1,75 miljoen kost.
Dat er een vuurtoren van 12 meter boven N.A.P. bovenop je woning staat zullen niet veel mensen kunnen zeggen — niemand in Amsterdam in ieder geval, want het schip is het enige lichtschip in Amsterdam. Het is dan ook een opvallende verschijning.
Het schip dat afstamt uit 1952 is omgedoopt tot 'Light Vessel nr. 12' en het heeft een vaste ligplaats tegenover Schoonschip, de meest duurzame drijvende wijk van Europa. Naast een creatieve plek, ontbreekt ook de horeca niet op de locatie, met Plekk, Noorderlicht, de bruisende Ceuvel en Volharding als directe buren.
Het lichtschip in Amsterdam is getransformeerd tot een stijlvolle woning en bestaat in totaal uit 365 m2 woonoppervlak en 200 m2 buitendek. Van buiten is het schip knalrood, maar van binnen is het merendeels wit. Het interieur is licht en industrieel, wat het tot een perfect interieur voor de stijlvolle man maakt.

Het Nederlandse lichtschip Texel (Lichtschip Nr. 10) werd in 1951 gebouwd door de Rijkswerf Willemsoord te Den Helder. Het schip was in dienst van 30 september 1952 tot begin 1992. Sinds 1996 ligt het lichtschip als museumschip afgemeerd in de museumhaven van Willemsoord.

The modest fishing village of Rotterdam was founded on the alluvial deposit of theThe modest fishing village of Rotterdam was founded on the alluvial deposit of the river Rotte where the city’s principal church (Laurenskerk) now stands. During the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, after the river Maas had been dyked in and the Rotte dammed off, it grew into an urban settlement. The oldest document mentioning the town dates from 1293. In the mid sixteenth century Rotterdam entered a period of expansion and its population rose to 8000. Five new docks joined the medieval Oude Haven, beginning about 1600 with the Nieuwe Haven, followed by Haringvliet, Leuvehaven, Wijnhaven and Scheepmakershaven.
The light tower of Lichtschip 12 Noord Hinder was lit on the occasion of the Lichtjesavond event. It puts the historic port of Het Groote Dok in the spotlight and shares the light with everyone.

Hellevoetsluis: Christmas event
Lichtjesavond Hellevoetsluis is an annual event that is held in December in the historic city center of Hellevoetsluis. The event is organized by the Alive in de Vesting foundation.
During Lichtjesavond, the streets of the fortress are illuminated with thousands of lights and Christmas decorations. There are also various activities for young and old, such as a lantern parade, a Christmas market and a performance by a Christmas choir.
Lichtjesavond Hellevoetsluis is a cozy and atmospheric way to celebrate the run-up to Christmas. The event is free and attracts many visitors.
