Throwback Thursday.
Maybe not the best capture but the bus itself so unique! First prototype of 40 foot low floor composite bus (Compobus) from 1999. More information about the model here. And some better shots from the #1 fan of this NABI.
Cargo waggons standing on the 2nd track of the station, in the background goods shed and main building. On the right low side car standing by the gateman box and coal yard.
Manufacturer: North American Bus Industries (NABI)
Model: 40-LFW
Year: 2001
Engine: Cummins ISL
Transmission: Allison B400R
Notes: My instructor brought out NABI #863 to help demonstrate the air brakes to the class. I managed to take these photos during a short break between lessons. I probably won't drive a NABI during my training, as they are being retired relatively quickly. Also of note, CPTDB Wiki lists this bus as a year 2000 model, however the VIN plate says March 2001. Very strange.
