The 59th Aviation Troop Command, South Carolina National Guard, hosted a workshop, April 30, 2019, at McEntire Joint National Guard Base in Eastover, South Carolina to share best practices in aviation with other state National Guard aviation units. This week in 1956, TWA Flight 2, a Lockheed Super Constellation, collided with United Air Lines Flight 718, a Douglas DC-7, over the Grand Canyon. Both aircraft fell into the canyon. There were no survivors among the 128 persons aboard the flights.
